I absolutely love George’s kitchen and every I’ve ever taken has loved it too. That’s not to say I haven’t had a few dishes that where bad, please don’t get a steak mine was literally grey and bad no flavor or seasoning, but besides that everything has been super good and very reasonably priced. Don’t expect to go here and get pampered, the service is good but can feel rushed and impersonal most times and the place as a while isn’t that aesthetically pleasing to look at but it’s still one of my favorite little places if you’re looking for good food!
George's Kitchen ROCKS! Easily the best classic diner & family restaurant in all of Northeast Ohio, hands down! Great affordable food and fast service, and super friendly and cute, sassy, bespectacled cashiers and professional, 'old school' servers. This excellent place has been around since the pyramids in Egypt were built, and the parking lot is often full, which says it all!
I I went with my friend to have breakfast and the surprise was to see a mouse walking from one place to another in front of the window, I told the waitress and several people from the kitchen came to want to catch it but it escaped. they said is that they have to file this luhag. It made me want to vomit and I didn't want the food that was brought to me in minutes and they charged me. I can't imagine the mice in the kitchen at night
So here is the thing......I actually love this place personally. However I know it's not going to be everyone's love. It's not pretty, the bathrooms are not great. However this is where you go to get comfort food at a very reasonable price. If your on a budget, George's can not be beaten. The food is actually very good. The only thing I have had that I did not care for was (Swedish meatballs) you were warned if you try them! Now I will say their country fried steak is Killer!! It may be the best I have had at any restaurant. It's not covered in country gravy. It has a tangy gravy that's crazy good. Plus it's always crisp not soggy. If you order the dinner it comes with soup, potato, vegetable and fresh bread and butter for about $8.00.
George's is...well...George's the waitresses are delightfully snarky and the food is always fantastic. What can I say, we love this place! Oh and the prices and chicken noodle soup FTW!
The waiting queue shows how popular this place is. It's well worth the wait though. As a visiting Scot I was amazed at the size and variety of the menu but they still made me something that wasn't listed. Our server was polite and friendly and never missed an opportunity to top up our coffee cups. I'll definitely be back during my stay.
Amazing. Went had breakfastf with my daughter this morning and so i decided to get soup for the homeless. Lady that took care of me was amazing. Operation went great! I was able to feed 30 homeless on this sad day for them its Christmas they were soo happy and thankful. YEY! You guys rock!!!
Absolutely luv George's kitchen. Great value, great food, outstanding service, and great chicken noodle soup. Mike takes really great care of all the customers. George's is a great neighborhood family style restaurant.
I've been coming to George's for nearly all my life but I won't be returning any time soon. We went there Monday last week and all I can say is how disgusted I am. Upon sitting there eating breakfast, I seen a cockroach run across the table directly next to me. It grossed me out so much my son & I just got our check and left. George, if you read your reviews, come on and clean this place up. The food is great but this needs to be dealt with.
Best food with great prices. Love this place. Plus service is a A+.
