BETTER THAN COZUMEL! DO NOT SLEEP ON DON RAMON!I've lived in south Texas, I've been to SoCal. Dozens of Mexican restaurants, but somehow here in Ohio, I've found the best one I've tried yet. The tacos were finally moist with beef juices! The Cochinita pivil was AMAZING! The chilli con queso made for a great dip for the chips.I will absolutely be returning!!! There's soooooo many things on the menu that look so good. AND THERE ARE SO MANY PICTURES IN THE MENU!DO. NO. SLEEP. ON. DON. RAMON! The location, the outside, belies what's inside. Just look at the pictures everywhere!
I ordered curbside pickup of beef taquitos. I had set it for my car, but we ended up taking a different car. Trying to make it easier for the staff, I went inside to pick it up inside of trying to explain on the phone. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with attitude. I stood and waited for help, a young lady walked up and clearly did not want to help me. Whatever, I explain the situation, that I ordered curbside and was hoping to just pick it up inside but that I didn't know where to go. I had assumed they kept the curbside close to the door instead of with the other orders by the bar. She walked away to talk to a coworker, who asked me what the problem was. I explained the situation again, he misunderstood, cut me off and told me to just order online. I said I had and he turned around to walk away. I assumed he wanted me to follow, we got to the bar and he just said "Name?" I told him and he said "Henry?." I say yes and he hands the order to me without word. I thank him and he just turned around. After I got home with the food, I found it to be completely bland. The rice was decent but that was it, no seasoning at all. I was very unhappy with both the attitudes I received and the quality of the food.
We have been coming here for the last several weeks. Nice decor always attentive staff and not too loud. Not much of a pork eater but because of chorizo I ordered the lunch burrito. Excellent.
Finally I found a place where I really enjoyed the food. The nachos were on point; for a family of five, you might want 2. Ours could had usrf a tad more sour cream and cheese, nothing you can't order extra of (: . Tasty food, compliments to the chiefs, and who made the recipes.The staff is friendly and nice. It's a clean establishment; don't let the whole hole in the wall; turn you away.I'll need a few more visits before I can give this place a 5, but I'd definitely try it at least once. So far, it's definitely the best I've had locally that I've come across.
I think this is my favourite restaurant.I'm from the UK, and Mexican cuisine isn't (or wasn't, I haven't been back there in a while) really very well fleshed-out over there, so I didn't know what to expect when I started eating it out here in the US.I've been to a fair few Mexican restaurants in different states and this is one I keep going back to. The staff are great, the service is excellent even if they or we get something wrong, and the food is amazing. I love their chips, they're better than the ones I make at home. I think they have made Mexican food my favourite type!They also have money-off coupons at our local Giant Eagle which we make use of whenever we go.
Food was good, selection was good, service not so much. They weren't very friendly, at one point my mom asked about something in a meal and the waitress pointed at the menu and read what it said. Turns out there was something other than just chicken in the enchilada and mom didn't like it (it's not that it was bad in a general sense, mom's a picky eater which is why she asked in the first place).
Once upon a time this was my favorite restaurant we went at least once a month it has truly been going down hill the last two time were the final straw there was a dead roach on the floor and the. The last time there was a hair in our food and I just asked for it to be remade didn't make a big deal at the end of the meal I mentioned to the manager my concerns about the cleanliness and how it's going downhill and he basically accused me of putting the hair in my own food so yeah never again
Really nice restaurant. The burrito, margarita, and salsas were all top notch. Will definitely go back next time I’m in the area.
The food was just okay, the service was terrible. Our server didn't want to take our drink orders, at one point he said I don't want to and walked away, 15 min later came back and said he guesses he can take the order now if we still wanted something. I asked for a takeout box on two separate occasions, I didn't receive one for 15 min. Another st the table placed a Togo order twice and never got it, it was just ignored totally. They were not short staffed, there were plenty of workers and it wasn't busy at the time we came. I don't believe I will be coming back to this establishment.
I have never had a bad meal. I go here every year on my birthday plus at least once a month on top of that. One of my absolute favorite places to go! Always good food and great service!
