Good evening, I patronized your location in downtown Cleveland today around 6pm. The only flavor available that wasn’t frozen solid was strawberry so I was told to come back in 1 hour. That was an option for me as I had already made the trip to come there. So I opted for strawberry for 2 ice cream sandwiches. There were 2 young ladies working the counter (one had brown hair with a facial mole and one had black hair: both were young so I should have known not to expect 5-star service). The employee with the brown hair made my order. She gives me 1 sandwich and I ask for a cup or container as I’m traveling plus I have to pay. She says they don’t have one big enough. I said ok can I get one of those plastic food containers that assuming the cookies go in. She said no. So she gives me a tiny spoon in which I ask for a larger standard size spoon. My total was $20 I give a $20 bill and i had to ask for a receipt as my boss was going to reimburse me. The employee with the black hair states due to covid, I can’t get a receipt. I laugh because that is bogus. Covid has nothing to do with getting proof of purchase. I then ask her for a larger container. They gave me such a hard time about this. They tried to give me every cup they could find in which I stated and they even stated that the sandwiches were too large to fit. So I was finally given a container and something was mentioned like we have to tell the manager. I was blown away. In conclusion, can you explain why you all operate in this way? They were having a side conversation about some guy and I’m sitting there waiting like my ice cream will begin to melt soon, hello! For this to be a black-owned ice creamery biz, thing must improve! People already expect subpar service from us. #DoBetter
Just flew in from Philadelphia and wanted an ice cream sandwich for a Sunday night treat. Arrived at 9:30 pm, 30 minutes before closing time. Attendant was closing up and said she only had candy ice cream. Security guard chimed in and said she closed so come in Tuesday since its closed on Monday. Guard also stated that the next delivery is Wednesday. ??? What's up with downtown Cleveland food scene? Everyone closes up 30 minutes early with no product? Bad hospitality.
Really good customer service, they had ran out of Snickerdoodle cookies when we arrived but they were baking another batch and let us come by later to pick up our cookie. The ice cream itself was nice and the cookie was very nice, fresh out of the oven. It was slightly eggy though but otherwise, it is a good stop for a sweet tooth.
Hellooo!!! Visiting from Miami Beach back in august. We looked for ice cream and found cathys in downtown Cleveland...Honestly I do not remember the flavors we had. Not a big selection though... Cups were huge. Too much sweet.Ice cream was very tasty. We enjoyed it a lot!!Thanks a lot cathys!!!
Service was kind and sweet. I appreciate ice cream places that allow having two flavors on one scoop . I was not impressed with their flavors selection - settled for Banana pudding and pecan butter. Quality of the ice cream was good
The Best IceCrean Sandwich I've ever had! Hand made, warm freash cookies used for the sandwich, and topping too! Must have if you haven't tried yet
Overpriced. $5 for one average scoop of ice cream and 1 ice cream sandwich costs over $10!! Also only had a choice between 2 cookie flavors when I went because we were told the others ran out and neither were appealing. Swich Social located in Columbus is much better and cheaper. Very disappointed because I’d been looking forward to going here ever since it opened and it did not meet my expectations at all.
Great ice cream. If the girl wouldn't have been face timing her boy friend I would have gave 5 stars. Handling your phone while seating food. Not a good idea.
During these difficult times, I really try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt. When you accept payment for two ice cream sandwiches from my brother (who was paying for me) and then still charge me, not good. To top it off there was a hair in his sandwich. Please do better.
My family and I all agree that we will not be returning here. All of our cookies were horrible. My son had a chocolate chip cookie sandwich and the cookies were too salty to eat. My daughter and I had the chocolate brownie cookie, didn't taste like chocolate or brownie, just old. The icecream was good so I gave it 2 stars. Wish we had spent our money at Baskin-Robbins instead.
