It was fun to speak with the owner and brewer. The beers were good and it's a really cool brewery inside. There are other breweries around also within walking distance which is nice if you're brewery hopping. I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area!
From the history of the building and the two breweries that preceded this one in occupying it, to the quality of the beers they brew, Bookhouse is absolutely amazing. I visited for the first time a few days ago and I was blown away. I highly recommend trying all their stuff, the Heart of Gold Lager has so much depth of flavor, especially for a lager, I was amazed, and the Whoops! Juicy NEIPA is also simply delicious. The people working there are super friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Also the skyline views from the rooms off to the side are stunning! This place is definitely worth visiting for many reasons!
Hands down my favorite place to get a craft brewski in Ohio. Beers are always fresh, and they excel at making the beers they make. I suggest the Whoops. Great service as well.
Had a fantastic experience here as a traveler. The staff had the typical midwestern kindness! Got 2 flights of beer with an interesting variety. There happened to be a trivia event that night which was a blast. Come here for cozy bookstore vibes, friendly staff and patrons, and a good variety of beer and bar snacks.
Thank you for hosting Bike Cleveland! Good beer and great time!
It was my first time there and I was impressed! We were brewery hopping that night and the Beertender was the only one out of the four we visited to ask me what styles I'm into and offered me samples. He actually talked with me a bit and made us feel very welcome! I landed on the Anniversary Ale and it was terrific! The place has a very cool and relaxed vibe. I was so impressed, I ended up taking some beer home (after I was asked by the Beertender, of course).
Bookhouse is one of the best breweries out there--period. Great beer and a wide variety of it, with a quiet, welcoming taproom and friendly folks behind the bar.
Another one of Cleveland's "best kept secrets." Small, intimate, fun, and GREAT beers. Real history here. The place started out in the mid 1800's as a brewery, with the German brew-masters house attached, alongside. Google "Cleveland widow brewer."
This place is adorable! The staff was helpful in picking out what I should try and the vibe is cozy. Not a ton of food options so don't come for dinner but I think they have food trucks sometimes!
Good beer and a cool atmosphere. Definitely bring a book.
