Wonderful soulfood, I personally wish that they would use better cheese for the macaroni.Update: 6/2022On Father's Day, I purchased a smothered chicken white meat dinner, w/cabbage and black-eyed peas, and a smothered pork chop dinner w/ greens and Mac n cheese.The cashier handed my food to me, and stated that she gave me dark meat. Because they were out of white meat. I explained, that I do not eat dark meat, so therefore changed out the meat for pork chops.Thin side was done, but unfortunately the thick side was extremely half done, and to top it all off.ALL THE SIDES DISHES WAS SO HEAVILY SALTED, THAT WE COULD NOT EAT ANY OF OUR TO GO ORDER. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. The person in charge kept discussing to the cook about salt, but I was unaware, about what food item it was pertaining too.In Kevin Hart voice, You Gonna learn Today.. I'M DONE.Your establishment knew about the problems, but continued to take hard earned money from your patrons!I did tried to contact the restaurant, but the voice-mail was full.
Food has no taste to it, Mac and cheese dry no flavor with cheap cheese, greens taste like something out of a can just horrible and the barbecue sauce is terribly nasty no favor at all. What type of sauce has no flavor and is Angie a white person? Cause that's what that nasty food taste like. I'm so passed I wasted 80 bucks on this trash and I am angry Marsha's soul food wasn't open ?. Stay the [email protected]// away from this place. PS the sweet potato pies taste watered down.
I always wanted to try this place.The Mac and cheese wasn't seasoned.The yams were not sweet and needed to stay in the oven a little longer. The meatloaf was decent.The Red Kool-aid was delicious.( Not pictured)The Peach cobbler was mediocre.(Not pictured)My first experience is okay.I Won't be returning simply because nothing stood out to me. I've tried a couple different soul food places and get disappointed every time.I'm convinced If I want soul food I'll have to make it myself. The cashier was friendly. I didn’t care for the food the taste didn’t match the price the Mac was drug and clumpy and bitter in taste the collard greens had to many stems in them and thou the pork chops was smothered the gravy was clumpy as well they need grandma in the kitchen
Their Google page says they are open for dine in. So I drive 30 minutes today to meet someone there for lunch, only to be told that they are carry out only. Even though there are five tables and chairs right there that we could sit down and eat. It would be nice if they put this information on their website. I definitely wouldn't have wasted an hour out of my day.
OMG.. Love them wanted greens and mac on Monday...... 4GOT they close Monday and Sunday now... Goin today 4 sure....
I enjoyed the dinners each and every time I get an order from there. I've gotten different dinner's (No complaints) There always good!
I tried Angie's on Lee & harvard and this time my food was excellent. The mac and cheese was really good and my fish was good and hot.Thank you

DO NOT GO HERE!! They just give you what they want you to have not what you order, they don't answer the phone, and the food isn't that good. I ordered a pork chop meal and a chicken meal they sent me two pork chops meals. Instead of rice i got cabbage, no yams that i ordered no extra cornbread that i ordered. If you want good food and the food you order then DON'T GO HERE!!
