I ordred two meals one OX tail with 2 mac-n-cheese sides and 3 additional sides:dressing, yams and green beans. I did not taste the other meal of catfish and spaghetti because it was for my husband. The portions were generous and I always have enough for the next day. However, the taste was something else my oxtails were okay. Some of the pieces were tough, normally , they are tender and melt in your mouth. The green beans had an odd taste will not purchase them again. The mac-n-cheese also tasted off today. The dressing and yams were good but the chocolate cake was stale. Now in addition to the food being sub par the person who waited on me was unhygienic. A petite young woman who kept touching her mask and scratcihing her scalp which had excessively long locs that were not in a hair net NASTY. Also she kept touching her face which was highly unsanitary. And as I was leaving a young man came in without a face covering and he was waited on even though their own sign says NO MASK NO SERVICE !!! Now you may wonder why I did not cancel my order?? Which is a good question. I did not because I could not. I had already purchased the food and there are no cash refunds per the the written statement near the cash register oh boy $$. Certainly I hope that the right person sees this review and takes the appropriate measures to ensure this kind of service does not happen again. Very disappointed I was looking forward to a good soul food meal.

Please bring back the old cook this gravy is watery and pork chops and onions were raw not even sautéed,not good black eye peas must of been from a can also I’ve never had food for Angie’s like this before come on y’all can do much better I normally don’t complain. Please bring the the cooks back or something this food was terrible…
Went in Today and a Customer before had like 4 Dinners and what not So the Server tells me that he can't serve food because the computer Broke Down, sounds to me that the was incompetent about what he was Doing and turned myself and other Customers Away......will be looking for other places now.
WOW! I can’t really say much else! My Husband had liver and onions over rice and cabbage. I had smothered chicken with green beans, Mac, and yams. Everything was homemade and cooked to perfection! Even the koolaid and muffin were bomb. Small, quaint spot no frills or expensive decor as there is no dine in option. But the food and customer service were awesome we definitely recommend

This is the third location I have been to and it does not disappoint. The food is fresh, fragrant, delicious. No matter which location, I have to drive 30 minutes each way to get this food and it is absolutely worth every minute. I would drive hours to get this food it is that good. If you like soul food or even if you are just a fan of legit potato salad and mac and cheese like I am, this is the only place in town you should be.
