Delicious food. Our favorite local food place. Only issues are that they couldn't keep the one in Harrison open and they also run out of food frequently. Definitely recommend the burnt ends and baked beans. :)
Can’t find a better sauce no matter where we travel! … the competition sauce is a family favorite and the catering service is top notch! We try to hit up VSQ every time we travel through Cincy!!
it has been a while since we had dinner from Velvet Smoke and it was so delicious! we definitely will be on our regular rotation. It is the best BBQ we have had in Cincy! Thank you Andy!

Asking for bad reviews to be taken down is bad business.Rude customer service, terrible food, expensive for portion size. $2.50 for a shot glass size serving of a side, then harassed after leaving my original review
We had a delicious dinner with the pull chicken and the brisket sandwiches. Would recommend this hometown restaurant if you want some good food ! A wide selection of food , something for everyone !
We went around 5 on a Saturday night. It was busy but they moved through the line quickly. Someone grabbed my order by mistake so they had to remake it, and they were very apologetic. By the time we got there they were already out of turkey and macaroni. We tried all the other meats available. The pulled pork was good. Brisket and ends were slightly dry compared to some other bbq places we've tried. Pulled chicken was the least favorite of the family. The green beans and baked beans were delicious. Cheddar potatoes and cornbread were just okay. There are a few seats at a bar to dine in, but that's it.
I really enjoy the food at Velvet Smoke and have never had an issue with customer service. The only thing holding back a 5 star rating is that they are typically out of at least one meat (usually the delicious burnt ends) which is a bummer and that you have such a small window to get food from there since they are only open for a few hours 4 days a week. Not sure if it's a staffing issue or what but like someone else said, you tend to forget about it unless you happen to drive by when they are open for the small window. And I agree that the Mac and cheese could step up its game. But overall, great food...just have to catch it when you can!
The tacos were absolutely delicious. Love this place and the staff. Great friendly people who always leave me well over my calorie count. As if I count them anyways.
If I could give more than FIVE stars, I would! The brisket at Velvet Smoke is the best I have ever had, bar none! Pulled pork is delicious! Mac and cheese is amazing too. Great customer service for everyone. I ordered at the counter and my order was ready quickly. Velvet Smoke is worth the drive! Very limited seating, but it was still hot when I got home.
I LOVE this place!!! I recently moved here from Detroit and it’s been hard finding a good food spot. THIS PLACE IS WHERE ITS AT! They even got Bread Puddin LIKE MY GRANDMAMA USE TO MAKE!!!I just wished they were open more often lol!
