Love this place and how cool the atmosphere is
NO WI-FI….The atmosphere is spot on, as well as the coffee and friendly staff. My issue is that they don’t have Wi-Fi. After taking the time to find parking in the rain and getting all set up to work inside I find out… “We don’t have wifi here.” What kind of coffee shop doesn’t offer Wi-Fi? Now I have to pack up my things, walk back to my car and go back home because I can’t very well take coffee from another coffee shop into one that does offer Wi-Fi. Needless to say, I feel my time was completely wasted.
This review is not specific to this Urbana location, as I've had similar experiences at other Urbanas. The coffee is subpar. Baked goods are pretty tasty. Service is awful. Very rude weird vibe.
On a quick trip to Cincinnati, I discovered this coffee shop. Located just a few steps away from Fountain Square, this is a must for coffee lovers everywhere. Fresh croissants and baked goods are also available to go with your coffee drink. Staff is friendly and efficient. There is a nice area inside to sip and sit! Excellent spot!
Lovely lovely place for reading and enjoying a rainy morning. The baristas were super friendly. I haven’t had latte with a mug and cute latte mug for a while after COVID so I lit up right after getting the cup. The oat latte was really good, with rich and fine foam. I ordered a seasonal fig latte afterwards and the tiny piece of lemon they added in was incredible.(Even the wallpaper in the bathrooms were so cute I had to take pictures.)Highly recommend.
I ordered cappuccino. Pretty decent but quality coffee and a nice latte work on top. I knocked two stars down because they don’t offer any wifi and I always go to coffee shops to work!
Ordered To Go for a group. Coffee was hot the breakfast sandwiches were out of this world. The staff even helped me carry my order to the car. Great staff and food and of course coffee!
My first experience was years ago at the location across the street when my girlfriend was working remotely from there one day.Since then I frequent it it often, and now living by it it’s nice I can bring my dog in to get my espresso before work
I found an even more dog-friendly cafe downtown but still appreciate this establishment’s allowance of canines. Just one suggestion to a barista who served me here… please do not put coffee down with your fingers at top of cup (i.e. where my mouth will go!) Even pre-covid, best to hold by handle or saucer. Thank you.
Coffee, price, and service 10/10, hence the 3 stars.. However...They got rid of wifi and have very few tables. I have been to cafes at every corner on earth from London to Hong Kong to Seattle and I have never found one without wifi.I overheard some others discussing it, and apparently they're trying to prevent people from coming in and working (people like me). Don't call it a cafe, then. Call it a coffee club if it's just a social space. For me, this is a serious issue because I work from home and need spaces to get out for a change of scenery. Cafes are usually reliable for that.Otherwise, it's a great place and can recommend for those seeking conversation instead of quiet.
