The best Peking duck I've had! Additionally, the stuffed eggplant with black bean sauce was delicious!Twice the amount of food we were expecting! The service was fast. The entire restaurant is very clean. Curve appeal is low, but just try the delicious food and excellent service! Definitely recommend!
Good food, big portions, decent price. We always order takeout - the Sweet and sour chicken and chicken fried rice never disappoints! I had an issue with the amount that was charged to my credit card and it was rectified immediately, to my satisfaction, as soon it was brought to their attention. The lady I spoke to went above and beyond to explain to me what happened and how, took complete responsibility for the mistake, and her apology was genuine. The way it was handled only reinforced my trust of the establishment, and I look forward to ordering from them again.
A friend introduced me to Uncle Yip's and I must say I'm impressed by the food! I tried the Singapore Mei Fun, Mapo Tofu, pork Pot Stickers and Hot & Sour Soup. All were delicious! We visited in the evening on a Wednesday, around 7:30pm. They weren't too busy, but definitely understaffed, so be patient. The staff were all very kind and welcoming and the food is definitely worth the wait. I will definitely be returning to try more menu items!
I have driven by here many times and wanted to try it so I ordered Kung Pao chicken-lunch version- and hot and sour soup to go. The price was reasonable and the portion was pretty generous- a lot of chicken and veggies. I ordered the dish mild spice and it was fine. The hot and sour soup was very tasty also. The small egg roll that cam with the Kung Pao dish was awful- mushy with very little inside the egg roll. The service was nice. I will have to try the dim sum dishes.
What a disappointment. Just left Uncle Yip’s for Christmas dinner, and it wasn’t worth the effort. Seriously, just order Chinese from any other generic place and you’ll get the same quality food—minus the lacking customer service/attention and unpardonable wait times ?Had a reservation for 2 for dinner at 3pm, and was happy to arrive and be immediately seated. That was where the efficiency ended. We had a nice, but very slow older gentlemen, attendant. He literally went to get our drinks ONE AT A TIME. I’ll admit they were made correctly, but it took ten minutes to get two cocktails to the table at the same time. It was painful to watch him slowly inspect bottles one at a time at the bar to ensure he had the right bottle. Note: we did not order anything “special.”There was serious confusion on the dim sum. I went specifically for that (which I specified on the phone when I made the reservation), only to realize that not only was dim sum over, but it looked as if the leftover dim sum from the morning that was left sitting on the cart was being used to fulfill to-go orders. Appalled, I asked a young lady who informed me that employees ate the leftovers, and indeed I saw at least 5 employees randomly going through the leftovers to pick out their meal items…while their tables sat around waiting for service ? Kudos on eliminating waste and taking care of your employees, but could they NOT go on break in the middle of waiting on tables?!At that point we should have left, but it’s Christmas and I’m hungry, so I settled in for the ridiculousness. I was not disappointed when our food came out both piecemeal and undercooked. We ordered shrimp fried rice and chicken fried rice. Those are standard dishes, right? Well, the basic ingredients were there, but flavor was not. I wanted to leave everything behind, but my bf insisted we take what we’d paid for and just fix it at home. That’s right, I’m heading home to season and cook my leftovers so I can have a meal on Christmas Day ?We never got the steamed dumplings I ordered, which was really the only reason I made the trek to this establishment! If I hadn’t had such good company who was kind enough to laugh at the folly of errors that is Uncle Yip’s, this might have really sucked. Instead, it was sadly hilarious. In the end I dropped $40 for two small cocktails and two undercooked fried rice entrees. I absolutely would have been better off just getting a pizza today. Or White Castle.Seriously, just order from ANY Chinese place for delivery. No need to visit this spot.
A genuine hidden treasure! The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is delicious. If you are anywhere close, you owe it to yourself to visit. You will not be disappointed. We were in town for a sporting event, found Uncle Yip's, and will definitely return on our next trip. Be sure to order the Dim Sum!!!
Was recommended this by one of Joe's coworkers and it exceeded expectations! I love the decor, love the food. The hot and sour soup was perfect. Great experience and will definitely return! ❤️
The service was quick. We had dimsum - they were very tasty, and price is under $5 per bowl/plate.
The best chinese restaurant here in Ohio these two fish must try the Pan Fried whole Flounder and Steamed whole halibut with ginger and green onion so good!!! Everything is very tasty here.. Large group are very welcome my friends and family always enjoyed our meal everytime we dine in into this restaurant.
The food in this little corner restaurant is amazing! It is truly one of Cincinnatis hidden gems. Whether you want dim sum or more traditional Asian fare, everything is super delicious. The staff are all very nice and quick to recommend new dishes that will accommodate a variety of tastes. My daughter is very picky and they were able to recommend several dim sum dishes that she loved. The decor is really fun and tasteful as well.
