Beautiful venue for the Candlelight concert!
I just had my wedding here in April and it was absolutely amazing. The space is gorgeous, the food is amazing and the staff goes above and beyond to make the day special. Every single person working, from the bartenders to the "day-of" planner, was kind, helpful and enthusiastic. My husband and I both felt like we had no worries on the day, we were completely taken care of. Definitely recommend Funky's for any event and this space will always be my favorite!
The Transept was our #1 pick for venue and we were so excited to lock in our date. We got married there in January 2022. The day went very smoothly besides a few minor hiccups which I'm sure happen at most weddings so we took it in stride! The issues we experienced with the venue were mostly leading up to the wedding. Communication was minimal. Every time we needed to schedule a meeting , I was the one reaching out. Often times not getting a response until days later. I didn't meet my assigned coordinator until the final meeting and only because I asked for her to be there. Every meeting felt rushed, like they just wanted us in and out the door. I thought our linens meeting was going to be going through options and explaining the rental process for specific table settings and linens. Instead, I was only asked if we wanted white or black and kind of sped along. I asked questions about other options and felt like the person in charge of the meeting was annoyed with me, like I was wasting their time. I HIGHLY SUGGEST hiring a wedding planner if you decide to have your wedding here. It's beautiful and the food is great, but if this is your first wedding planning experience, you need someone there to advocate for you and guide you in the process, because the planners offered in house just don't seem to care. Additionally, I asked multiple questions and tried to get things in order a week or two prior to our wedding and was brushed off. I know they have events every weekend, but it was extremely stressful having to constantly respond to emails two days before the wedding. Something I felt could've been avoided had time management been a little better on their end. Our only big issue day of was that we were told we had the whole building for us all day. Turns out they hosted an engagement party at the bar area during our wedding and we had multiple wedding crashers. When we discussed this with them afterwards they didn't apologize or take ownership, but told us our guests were also trying to crash the engagement party. Our guests thought that was part of our event because it was supposed to be. Overall, I would suggest getting married there ONLY and only if you have an outside wedding planner hired.
My friends just got married here on the 5th. The place was beautiful, the staff was very patient, quick to work, and accommodating. Very polite, too! The food was delicious, and we had a blast. This is also not the first time we've had friends get married here. And the previous couple were just as satisfied as this most recent couple. :)
Amazing venue, it is absolutly gorgeous. Staff was great. Food was delicious.
Awesome venue for a wedding. Love how the old St. John's Church has a renewed purpose. Beautiful wood floors, stained glass windows, wood beamed ceiling, and raised stage. It has a historically quaint feeling with a slight industrial flare.
Officiated a wedding here. The building is beautiful and the staff were kind and helpful.
I didn't get to see this location before the renovations... However, the way it looks is beautiful. Every corner you turn there's something gorgeous and picturesque! From the entryway to the bathroom this venue gives you gorgeous locations for photos! I would recommend this venue not only for the beauty of its structure and insides, but the staff is very attentive, kind and very efficient! So, if you're looking for an event for your wedding or elsewise I definitely recommend the transcept!
Beautiful wedding/ event venue. Spacious & simple. Cool bar area for cocktails and appetizers downstairs. Pretty stain glass throughout. Stunning bathrooms. Great location!
Cold and gutted of what was presumably a beautiful gothic church. No regard for historical value or significance now a cold, sterile interior. Owners shouod be ashamed.
