With such excellent reviews customers expect something really good. There were four people in our party dining outside on a beautiful evening. My wife had the Cesar Salad and said it was good.My sister had the pulled pork sandwich and with a side Kale Salad. The salad was excellent and the pulled pork sandwich was very good except for the completely soggy bun.My brother had the impossible burger with fries and said it was OK but nothing exceptional. The fries were very good. Now the real bummer. The Haddock Sandwich was a$16 disaster. The portion of fish looked like a dried up piece of shoe leather. The amount of fish was so small and thin it was embarrassing. There was way too much tartar sauce. The side of taters were cooked to perfection. Not all was lost however. The Cherrywood Ale was perfection. The Blonde Mango was very good and my sister said the Margarita was very good.We were really looking forward to our evening of good food. We didn't experience the five star food we were expecting

Unique venue inside an old church with a cool atmosphere. Great beer selection and the food we ordered was quite good.

Unique restaurant with great food. The service was excellent and the quality of the food was delicious.

We visited the Taproom on Friday night and were extremely impressed with the stellar hospitality service provided by a solo bartender covering the outdoor seating area, bar, and tabletops inside the Taproom. Great conversation, jokes, food recommendations, and personality. Our group enjoyed the Buffalo Chicken Wings and the Tri-Tip Steak Wrap, which were delicious! We also enjoyed Garden Salads with the Honey Basil Vinaigrette, this dressing is bursting with flavor and worth a try! I can't remember the last time I had French Fries that tasted so good, a crunchy exterior fried to perfection without residue grease. Our group was not impressed with the Tri-Tip Platter steak, which was difficult to cut, tear, and chew despite being medium rare. Regardless, I would definitely recommend and return for the amazing service, drinks, and atmosphere!

Don’t go here before a concert! Too many people and not enough tables or kitchen staff. We were told it would be an hours wait. No problem, we had time to kill. It took a while to get a beer (Cold Boy was a nice beer). It’s very noisy in here and not much room to wait. We waited over an hour so I checked in with the hostess and she advised us the manager was no longer seating anyone because the kitchen was backed up for another house. I appreciated their honesty but it was disappointing. Menu was basic - mostly a variety of Philly steak subs, fried chicken sandwiches, fish and chips. Most of the food that did come out looked dark and greasy. Maybe it was due to the concert goers flooding the area but was disappointing. Won’t be back.

Food was really just ‘ok’… The Big Billy could use more meat if it’s going to be called big, And they served us room temperature (sitting around) tater tots so we waited for freshly cooked tots. Beer was fine but this once exciting OTR destination is riding old fumes.

Come for the beer and atmosphere, not the food. There's always a great list of beers being rotated and they keep up with the season. If there's a fun holiday or event, they keep up and name a beer for the occasion. The building itself is beautiful with amazing high ceilings. There is a public area on the first floor with several private rooms. Upstairs is mostly a public space with another bar and small seating areas. The staff is knowledgeable about their rotating beers and very nice. As far as the food goes, I've never been impressed. It's either chewy and/or over smoked. They've removed their power bowls which really helped their menu. Overall a great place to visit and on Tuesday's they offer half off beers if you where any kind of brewery attire. Come for the beer and service, the food needs a lot of work.

We were warmly greeted by the hostess and told it would be a short wait. We gave our name and was immediately sent a text saying we had been put on the list. Then as we stood over to the side another employee who was walking by very politely asked if we had been helped. I thought that was a nice gesture as a lot of times that doesn't happen. We walked back to the bar on the first floor to grab a beer. Both of our beers were very good. As we sat there we noticed other people that seemed to have entered after us being seated. My wife, being the one that was starving, went up to the front just to check on our spot. She was then told by the hostess that they didn't have our names. Kind of odd since when we gave our names the first time we also gave our phone number in order to be texted. Not the biggest deal just a little longer wait now. Our wait really wasn't that long and it allowed us time to venture up stairs. There was a private event going on so we couldn't access the other bar upstairs but the atmosphere is really cool. Although I kind of don't understand why all the seating is tables that hold 6-8 people but are often of course occupied by only 2. I'm not that big into community seating but I was actually thinking it was in fact community seating based on the size of all the tables. We did order the loaded tots which were honestly the best I have ever had. They came out super fast but were super crispy and covered in toppings. We decided to share a burger, which was perfectly cooked and also very good. We would definitely return in the future.

We are frequent flyers of Taft, always a great experience. Dined in today for a late lunch, we were seated upstairs and waited on by the bar staff. I wish I knew our bartender/server’s name but he’s quite a character and loads of fun. They’re working their behinds off like all of the service industry right now so go with a gentle heart and some extra time. Beautiful interior and delicious pub food. Their beer steals the show!

The ambience was great! Enjoyed the loaded tater tots while having some beer with friends. I felt the beer selection was limited. We were able to try out beer before ordering. The waitress was very friendly and helpful in ordering. A good experience overall!
