I have always loved this restaurant. The food is great and the service is always amazing. Everyone that works here is so nice and tries so hard to make sure that they have a welcoming environment. There have been times when I haven't been able to visit for weeks and when I finally make it back, they make sure to ask how I've been. It is one of my favorite places to bring friends, especially if they haven't tried Indian food since the people that work here are willing to take the time to help newbies find their favorite dishes.
Vandana & jyoti were so nice and helpful with our ordering.The food was delicious and cooked to order.Harish came out after we finished to check on us and make sure that we enjoyed our meal.It was a very pleasing dinner and great to see that the staff was attentive to everyone.
Absolutely amazing. This was our first time having Indian cuisine and they were VERY helpful on helping us find things that we would like. We were feeding a family on 4 and each of us had something different and tried a little of each and all 4 items was fantastic. They also provided us with awesome customer service, as they were on top of anything/everything we needed without us even having to ask. Highly recommend!!!
The food was amazing!! I have lived for a while in India and tried a variety of Indian cuisine. Thus far Shaan has most authentic taste from any other place I have been before in Cincinnati. The host and everyone who served us were very friendly and made us feel like we are at home at our friends. Thank You, will be sure to visit again !!
Delicious food and great service. Great for quick lunch and the garlic naan is wonderfully crispy and chewy.
First time eating from Shaan for the two of us. I had Lamb Mushroom and it was delicious. Will definitely be back.
Service was quick and the food was fantastic as usual. The staff was super friendly with dinner ending with free dessert. Can’t recommend this place enough.
This is our first time at Shaan Indian because we typically go to another Indian restaurant in the same area of town. However, our normal restaurant raised their prices by 30%. Tonight we decided to give Shaan a try and we were not disappointed.We placed a carryout order which took about 40 minutes, but this was prime dinner time at 5:15 and staff seems to be short everywhere right now. My go to is Saag Paneer and vegetable samosas and they were very good. My husband got a shrimp and rice dish which he also loved.Service and food were good. Shaan will be our new go to Indian restaurant in Hyde Park.
We’ve been here several times recently and haven’t had any issues until tonight. We’ve always gone on a night other than Friday and Saturday though. My pickup time was 6 pm, by 6:20 I asked for an update and was told “5 more minutes”. At 6:25 I was told again “5 more minutes”. 6:30 came and passed without my order. By 6:35 I received my order. They set an expectation themselves regarding time on 3 occurrences and failed to meet all 3 of them (6:00, 6:25, & 6:30). During the 35 minutes I waited, they did offer me a coke and some mango drink but I said multiple times that I don’t like sugary drinks and that I was fine. Upon receiving my order at 6:35 I informed them that they were 35 minutes late, and I asked outside of free beverages, was there anything else they were willing to do for the inconvenience they caused. They said no of course. I asked again if I could just get a coupon or discount on my next order and they still said no. I took my order home & my food was ok but the chicken breast in my wife’s chicken makhani tasted stale, dry, and old.If you choose to go here anytime soon, don’t go on a weekend evening. They aren’t capable of setting & meeting reasonable expectations & aren’t willing to take responsibility when they produce failure.When a service provider fails to meet expectations they created on multiple levels & refuses to take responsibility for their actions, they are actively ruining the integrity of their business. No reasonable self respecting human being would return after an experience like this.
We got the matar paneer and my gosh it was amazing. Order this and you won’t be disappointed. A creamy tomato-based sauce with peas and cheese, wow! The naan was also excellent. Dip your naan into the sauce for flavors out of this world.
