I came to Ruth Chris to celebrate a special anniversary for me with my niece. My experience with Ruth Chris was absolutely beautiful. The host and hostess when I 1st walked in the door were friendly welcoming, kind and beautiful. My server David was Knowledgeable about the special and what was in the menu. He made sure every question had an answer and he was attentive to our needs. Lastly, the food was so delicious. It was brought out in a timely manner it was hot tasteful and just absolutely delightful. This was my 1st time to Ruth Chris. I had been trying to get there for the longest. I will be back to this one.. Thank you for having quality service and food
I visited this past weekend to celebrate our 30-year wedding anniversary. We were excited for an exceptional dining experience. However, if I based this review off of the host experience at the front door, it would have been a zero star. Fortunately, this review is based on my entire experience but the front door experience weighs heavily on the overall star rating. The wait staff was terrific and the food was incredible. I felt taken care of and was provided the experience I expected at this high-end establishment. I was prepared to be blown away by this experience and I can say that in the end, we really did enjoy our dinner. But please, replace your host at the door. My experience started off terribly as I was made to feel that I was interrupting his day by showing up. He looked at me and then back down without a word. I then greeted him and offered my name, explaining that the rest of our party was parking the car. He scooped up a few menus and mumbled to follow him. We were sat in a small room, full sun, in a somewhat cramped space. (Later, when leaving, is saw that the main dining room was half full, overlooked the street, and was in the shade. Why not sit us there?) When the rest of our party finally arrived to the table, they stated that the host didn't look up and ignored them until my husband said hello and explained that the rest of the party had arrived earlier. The host then looked at him, pointed to the upstairs, and said "they're up the stairs to the left". Was it too much to expect that the host (who was not busy) could have walked them up or at least been more cordial and welcoming? The rest of my party felt just like I did - we were clearly putting the guy out. Please be aware that the first impression at any establishment is how you are greeted at the door. That person sets the tone for what your business is about and how much your customers mean to you. Perhaps this guy needs to work somewhere else. Sadly, although I enjoyed dinner, I really won't be coming back anytime soon, for my next special occasion or otherwise. I want to feel like the place I patronize is glad that I chose them for my special night instead of elsewhere. I didn’t feel all that welcomed.
It was our first time. I was celebrating my birthday. The food was good but over priced. We knew it was pricey but wanted to do it up for my special day. Our waiter was not friendly. We were squeezed into this room where every time someone went by they hit the back of my husband chair. I pulled the table closer to me so I could give him room to move up did not help much. I wont go back?
Nice atmosphere, me and my friends enjoyed ourselves. Service was great will be back soon
Spent my birthday here with my man and a few friends. The atmosphere was beautiful but fyi there is kind of a dress code (if you want to dine in with a ball cap on you have to sit on the lower level or take your hat off to go upstairs NO BIGGIE), our servers deserve 10 stars for their hospitality, the food was delicious I ordered lamb chops with sweet potato casserole.. My reasoning for 3 stars is because of the EXPENSIVE PRICE!!! Just for two our bill was $194 don’t get me wrong the food and service was wonderful but come on with that price! I’ve had plenty of delicious restaurant experience for half of that price sheeeeesh… probably won’t return
We made reservations to try Ruth’s Chris on Friday, the18th of March. We typically go to Rubys, but we were excited to try this steakhouse. As soon as we entered the building, we were given such rude customer service that I did not want to stay. Deonte(?) was the most distasteful hostess I’ve ever came in contact with. The restaurant was not busy, and all we did was ask a question. The food was really good, and service got better for the most part. But I will not return to a place where I’m given Fast food customer service for fine dining food.
Steak was cooked correctly, arrived at the table still sizzling and was very juicy. Ribeye had just the right amount of fat on it. Service was attentive but not intrusive. The hosts were incredibly nice and welcoming. Dessert was very small... The bread pudding specifically. Great taste but not much of it. Would return for a second visit.
It was so delicious. Great food for sure.
Food is awesome and service is great
Went for a birthday dinner. Food was ok but nothing spectacular, definitely not worth the high price. I would rate this slightly above a chain place like Longhorn. Did not come close to comparing to a Jeff Ruby experience. Service ok, but not up to par for a fancy steakhouse. Posted dress code but diners wearing ripped jeans and casual outfits. Steaks were over cooked, good quality but nothing special. Cocktail was mostly juice. Sides ok but not worth $15 apiece. Next time we want to drop $400 on dinner will go to Jeff Ruby.
