I have worked with Patricia in the past after having worked in the bridal district and the bridal shop I worked with had partnered with her by serving samples of her cake to our brides. I have used her services for past bridal showers and a bachelorette party. I never had an issue and was happy and excited to book her for my upcoming wedding in June. I went in and had a tasting and placed my $50 deposit and left with that deposit slip. A few months went by and as I entered into 2022, I wanted to start getting an idea of my cost estimations with all my vendors. I realized I hadn’t left Patricia’s with any sort of estimation sheet, so I emailed her (this had been our only form of communication in any of my interactions with her). This was Feb 11th. No response. I emailed again Feb 17th. No response. I emailed again and called Feb 28th. No response.I finally draft an email on March 22nd after no response still and decided to inform her that I had booked with another baker. I finally get a response on April 16th from someone named Denise. I advised her that I did in fact book with another baker and I would like my deposit refunded due to lack of communication. She advised she would make this happen, but never reached out. I emailed again on April 20th to see what I needed to do to get refunded and Patricia emailed back advising that I could set my appointment at anytime to come in to talk about the cake. I had to advise her of the lack of communication and my decision to go with a new baker. No response after that.I have now called at least a half dozen times. I have spoken with Patricia’s and she has taken my card information to refund me, but I have not been refunded yet. The date that my information was taken was May 6th. I called as of latest Monday, May 23rd and plan to call again tomorrow.I never imagined this being my cake story for my wedding. Especially from a business I always admired.
Steals deposits and won't answer client calls or emails, ruins weddings. There are now BBB complaints against them and there may be court cases depending on how much money was lost. What may have once been a reputable bakery is now just a scam where they steal your money and never deliver a product. Go elsewhere.
After reading there's reviews and hearing others comments. Do not order from this person they are completely untrustworthy and will take your deposit.... They are now going to ruin someone wedding day because they won't have a cake.
Had a so-so experience with Patricia's. We originally lined everything up pre-covid for a wedding cake. Test cakes were awesome, family that got to sample couldnt wait. Fast forward to after it being postponed, we start making contact with the shop to assure everything is in order after being delayed a year. Staffing issues, probably from covid, didnt help. Poor communication in the months leading up the wedding. Go in for a final consult, cake picture in our file is nothing like the one we originally asked for(We wanted one of the tree bark style cakes, a kids soccer ball birthday cake was in our file). We send the photo and print it out to ensure it is the same. Go into wedding day expecting a potential mishap based on comms and the final consult. Sure enough cake shows up, army green in color, nothing like the original. Flavors slightly incorrect from what we requested, the signature raspberry that was correct seemed off, just not anything like the cake we had tried before. Still a decent cake but just kind of sad overall. The new staff Patricia has is nothing like it was a couple years ago, and overall you can see the difference.
The best testing cakes! So moist and beautiful! We get all our cakes from Patricia's. We will be ordering one soon for our son's wedding.
Called and called for days, no one answers the phone Have ordered about 15 cakes through the years from her Drove from Taylor Mill KY to just go in and ordered a cake for Christmas The girl working was nice but didn’t have a baby sitter, so she brought her child with her to work and was shocked to have a walk in She was so shocked we walked in to order a cake and was so out of place So I ordered a cake for a Christmas party I was hosting I place the order in person on dec 2nd $162 Thought it was pricy but we have always liked Patricias so I just said it was worth it I had an unfortunate happen in my family I had to call and cancel because Christmas was cancelled for my family That was on the 10th of December After few calls later, finally the owner herself answers its Patricia! Told her I need to cancel, which was fine she said but she had no way to return my money. She can’t afford to pay me back! So after discussing with her over and over that wasn’t may fault and I cancelled with in the policy time etc she said she will figure it out and return money somehow and call me back Called and called on dec 23rd - 24th to mention I did not receive my payment back No answer EVER, you can leave messages they do not return phone calls. Still have not heard nothing called again said I was reporting to BBB and still nothing. So DO NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY Her business has went way down hill no customer service she has a horrible way of doing business BBB has been contacted, and other places as far as my money being returned.
The bad reviews are supportive of what I just experienced. If small business want support, then you need to appreciate those customers attempting to keep your business alive.I've never had anything from here, however I won't at this point. The Receptionist on the phone needs an attitude adjustment, I will never support this business with attitudes from someone I've never spoke with and was only attempting to inquire about information for a cake.Remember, the people on the phone is WHY you are getting PAID!! Unreal.....
My wife and I had originally planned to have Patricia’s Cakes make the cake for our wedding, however, we had to post pone our consultation due to a possible COVID exposure the day before. We had attempted to call the day before, the day of, and at the time of our appointment, however, we were never able to get in contact with anyone despite leaving messages with a call back number, sending emails, and our number being on record and is having a contract. I received a call today three days before our wedding tell us to come in to pick out our cake. Their cakes were delicious, however, communication was severely lacking and I cannot recommend that anyone cater a timed even through them as we had to go though a separate bakery for our wedding.
Do not buy from this place ! They are scamming people out of money ! Wedding is this weekend and ignored calls for weeks ! One of the rudder lady’s I’ve ever met , very cocky and unprofessional! Don’t trust this place with your wedding unless you don’t mind running to Kroger’s a few hours before your wedding to get a backup cake. You pay in full for your cakes months ahead of time , you should get your product !
We ordered a cake for my son & daughter in laws wedding august 2021 The cake was to be delivered at 3pm for a 5pm wedding. Cake did not arrive until 5:30, after the ceremony & guests were inside the venue. We called, messaged, did everything we could to get a hold of Patricia. She delivered cake, no apology! Called 8x the next week to complain about service but no one answers the phone. Finally got through & explained situation. Again NO apology just excuses and was not frien
