Loved the Specialty Drinks (Hairspray). Food and service was excellent.

Great food, great service. Great fun. After a year in Cincy, best burger yet!

It is a well-run restaurant that handled a post-theater rush very well. It is a beautifully built space that is comfortable and clean, the kind of place in which I love to share a pint with a friend. The service was excellent and the managerial staff was present and paying attention to details. The menu is one page, which is usually a way of saying that "we're not going to try and do too much, we're going to focus on fewer things and do them well." However, the food left us wanting. We were with another couple so we shared a couple of starters. The brussel sprout appetizer was delicious with a nice combination of flavors and was a good serving size for a starter. The beer cheese crock was also tasty but the serving was stingy on the mini pretzels for dipping and we ended up wasting a lot of the cheese simply because we didn't have enough to dip in it. We make it a habit when in a new restaurant of ordering the dishes they are known for. Our lovely and attentive waitress told us they were known for the Fish & Chips and she recommended the Nicholson's Signature Burger. The fish was not what most people think of when picturing the dish in the UK. It was clearly not breaded on location and the filets were dry with a very dry and too crispy crust. They were more like something you would purchase from the freezer at Costco. The chips were undercooked with no real flavor. The burger patty appeared to be right off the Sysco truck, dry and flavorless. We did like the sourdough bread as a bun, but in my mind, there is nothing like a good burger. This was not a good burger. We are in Cincy about once a month for the theater and rotate around to about a dozen restaurants. The vote was that the service, character, and atmosphere were enough to give it a second try down the road, knowing we will order different items. But it failed the vote to be included in the regular rotation.

Dinner after show at Aronoff. Loved the special drink menu celebrating Hairspray! Server was friendly and attentive. Crab cakes were filling and delicious, lots of crab. Entrees were cooked per requests and arrived quickly and hot. Great choice for after show dining.

Delicious. Our server, Chloe, was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Wonderful setting with a professional wait staff. Fifi is the absolute best. The Salmon is an excellent choice.

Made reservations through open table, walked right in on time and was sat immediately. Our Server, FeFe, was there right away and was wonderful! Food was cooked the way we asked and tasted great! Will definitely be going back!

Great food, great service, and fun drinks.

We were very well taken care of by the host and our server. We were running late and the manager came to check on us to make sure we had still gotten our table. It was a nice touch to know they had saved it for us. I had a salad with blackened shrimp that was delicious. My partner had a sandwich and enjoyed it. We both had cocktails from the happy hour menu and they were the highlight- expertly prepared. The experience was great and made for the perfect pre Aronoff meal.

Chloe was our waitress again tonight and she was GREAT!! It's always wonderful to eat at Nicholson's before heading to the theatre.
