Everything was delicious and our servers were awesome!!!
We went to Nation because it's the "best burger in Cincinnati" It's not... not even close. The burger (sandwich) as a whole was okay - great sauce and bun, but the burger itself, the meat was gross - dry, way-overdone, and under seasoned. It reminded me of high school hamburgers... just awful! The beer selection is weak compared to the may other places around and the service was just okay. The only good part of the experience were the store-bought tater tots. The worse part was spending $25 on a beer, tots and a subpar burger. For point of reference - It was a Thursday evening around 6:30 and they were less than half-full.
If it's a beautiful day in downtown Cincinnati and you want to enjoy a good casual dining experience outside, head over to the Pendleton area in Over The Rhine to Nation Kitchen & Bar. Good draft beer selection too. Left to right, you will see Guinness Stout, Sonder's You Betcha Hazy Juicy IPA, The Phoenix, The Hangover Burger and The Temperance Burger. Very reasonable prices and completely satisfied.
So. Me and my husband love it here and will always recommend this amazing place. We are from out of town like 2 hours away. We come to town for date nights, we ALWAYS, go here for brunch. It never fails us. This morning we got mimosas, the hangover burger, seasonal caramel French toast, and the brunch wrap supreme. Everything was AMAZING. And the only reason we don’t have pictures is because we ate it so fast LOL.
Just left this restaurant and would never return again. I ordered the southwest salad and a beer and the salad was lower quality than a pre-made salad from the grocery store. I have never had a bar salad of this low quality in my life.
Best boozy brunch in Cincy! Also… the breakfast tots are the best I’ve ever had.
Staff were great! I would definitely go back for drinks. Brunch on the other hand, was not worth it at all. The Breakfast Platter was essentially the same thing I would get at McDonald's. Frozen hash brown patty, scrambled eggs were also in patty form, bacon was good though. Don't feel like breakfast food is hard to goof up. Hopefully it was just an off day. Better luck next time?
OUTSTANDING!Whoever made my meal put heart and passion into cooking it.After a long 14 days out of the country I ordered through Uber eats to be delivered to my hotel.I ordered the BIT, this month it was a “Masters” inspired pimento cheese burger. It was very well seasoned and cooked to perfection. My mouth is watering just reminiscing about the buttery sourdough bread that enveloped the seasoned, seared beef Patties and the savory pimento cheese. On the side I decided to step out of my potato addiction and immediately got hooked on a new chronic. The smoked wings were a perfect side that sent me into a wing junkies downward spiral. I’ll do “anything” for some more of them wings. Oh the things I’d do.But I digress. I can’t wait to try something new the next time I’m in town. And I think I’ll dine in to partake in some of the spirits available.A must try when in Cincinnati.
Every year there is a ranking of burgers in Cincinnati. The usual suspects always end of up on the list...Zips, Terry's Turf Club, BRU Burger, etc, etc. Nation Pendleton is #1 hands down - not even close. They are the perfect size, tender, perfectly cooked - period. The food is 10/10. Service was great. Parking looks like it has the potential to be bad but we parked literally right in front of the restaurant.
First time trying Nations at the Pendleton location (usually go to Westwood) with the homies. The Nation burger with a side of loaded tater tots dipped in Sririacha Ranch was exquisite. I’m always amazed how the burger looks deceivingly small but is so incredibly filling in the end, especially paired with the tots. You could really taste the Memphis BBQ in the burger. The OTR vibes at the Pendleton location make the ambience very refreshing as well. Staff were very kind and accommodating. Definitely planning to return here the next time I have a burger craving.
