Having lived in and around the Dayton, Ohio, area I had always read or heard of the Montgomery Inn’s ribs. One of the latest comments I had heard was of how the Inn had become a shell of its former self and was existing off of its former reputation m. Nothing could be further from the truth! On business in the area, my wife and I decided to have an early dinner and decided to finally go to the Inn. Very clean and pleasing decor; a virtual sports museum…for me seeing a baseball signed by Sparky Anderson was a highlight. The staff was friendly and competent; we were quickly served drinks and menus. I opted for the Ribs and salad combo with a baked potato, my wife the pulled pork sandwich. I have never had a better rib dining experience…simply superb. Fall-off-the-bone tenderness, mouth-watering flavor, and excellent BBQ sauce combined to make this a dining experience I have not had in quite sometime; no mediocrity here. My wife’s sandwich was the same, a huge portion. To top it off with Graeter’s ice cream was delightful. We so look forward to visiting this most excellent restaurant! Highly recommended!

We went on Mother’s Day and had a wonderful time. Our waitress was superb. The food was fabulous. We enjoy the meals every time we go. The menus are much smaller then they use to be. Must make reservations on busy days or holidays. I would say make any time, they are short staffed. They don’t serve rolls/bread anymore before your meal. They do have Valet parking. Free Parking is limited. There is some street parking. Valet is $4.

It had been a while since I have been there. The food and atmosphere did not disappoint it was amazing. You forget how good the sauce is at the restaurant not that the grocery store sauce don't compare. It is just something about the atmosphere and food that make it taste unbelievably amazing. The service and staff were incredibly pleasant. One of the best restaurants in the Cincinnati area. Thank you for a great evening.

So glad we got the opportunity to dine here. Had heard about it for years. Their customer service was great, had many waitstaff topping off water, making sure we were satisfied, taking orders, etc. Our meals were delicious; had the brisket sandwiches with their famous chips. Hope we get the chance to visit again. The walls are filled with memorabilia. Enjoy the trip down memory lane!

First time experiencing the ribs. They definitely have their own unique taste. Both the sauce and the ribs are one-of-a-kind. Even on a very busy day, service was friendly and my order was ready when they predicted it would be. I'll definitely be coming back for another king slab!

Went for an Anniversary dinner. The Ribs were good but the rest of the food was standard fare and a bit underwhelming. Thought it would be a bit more modern and distinctive. I was surprised by the atmosphere. Much more casual than expected.

I haven't been to Cincy in years and was advised that I needed to visit Montgomery Inn. I'm really glad they recommended this place! The food, predominantly steaks and BBQ was fantastic! The atmosphere was terrific as well with tons of sports memorabilia inside the establishment! It was almost like a sports museum with great food!

Restaurant is really nice, cool atmosphere. I got the ribs and they were OK. Others in my party ordered shredded pork BBQ sandwiches with either fries or Mac n cheeses. Pork was good, Mac n cheese not very good. All the food could have been warmer.

This was my first Montgomery Inn visit. Friends insisted they take me there while I was in town visiting and I really enjoyed it. This is one of those Cincinnati landmarks that is rich in history and doesn't change much. I ordered the Ribs & Chicken combo; the chicken was juicy, and the ribs were well-cooked and slathered with their famous and addictive bbq sauce (I even purchased some sauce from their gift shop to take back home to CO). The staff and service was fantastic, very personable and did a great job. I definitely felt appreciated for dining there, by the front-of-house staff, manager and server. We were greeted by the friendliest young lady who was their valet standing outside in 10 degree temps by herself. She was charming and very fast about retrieving our vehicle when dinner was over so we didn't have to stand in the cold. Overall - I would definitely recommend this place to others and would absolutely come back again.

I had the NY Strip with broccoli and baked potato and my wife had the pulled pork with Mac and cheese and a salad. I tried the butterfly shrimp and nachos as well. The appetizers were the best part. Food was good, but for the price it should be much better. I'd rather go to longhorn or outback honestly. Will not be back again.
