A phenomenal dinner! Ron is the best! Give this dude an extra bill on the tip! And don’t cheap out with an extra Hamilton!

We were anticipating our Father's Day first visit and we were only slightly disappointed. First of all the ribs and the brisket were 5+ stars. However the steak was overcooked and burnt on the top and underseasoned, and the baked potato was a little dry and possibly undercooked. The gulf shrimp appetizer was back to 5 stars, but the shortcake was a mess if tasty. The ice cream was completely melted and the shortcake was hard (frozen maybe) although the flavor was all there and we ate every bite. So I'd say it was a five star opportunity not quite executed. We will be back for another try. The riverview and general atmosphere was nice even though they were packed, and the service by Jamie was excellent.

Not the best BBQ in the country, but the best in Cincinnati and very good overall. The food is good, they have a nice assortment of alcohol and the view of the river is excellent. I also fee the prices are very reasonable. Try to make reservations, it will make things easier. If you have a large group you definitely need a reservation. This place gets very busy.

First off, the restaurant looks cool...it's nice. The view was amazing! The service was top notch. Our waiter, Steve, was great! I got the wagyu burger, pulled pork nachos, brisket sandwich & pulled chicken sandwich for the table. It was all pretty spot on. The fries were decent. The Mac and cheese wasn't the best I'd ever had but also not too bad either. The meal was very good but it felt like it was.kissing something...Ive had an amazing meal at several restaurants and I hoped this would would knock my socks off but it came up a little bit short. Still good though. Definitely worth a try if you're in Cincy!

We ate there yesterday around 4o'clock. We were seated immediately. The server come over to take our drink order and we ordered an appartizer. Our salad came out before our appartizer. No bread. When our food came my husband had to ask for a bib and sauce for his chips. I had to ask for a tea refill. After we were finished eating we had to ask for the wipes to clean off the sauce. It was like it was his first day, terrible service and we spent almost $100.00. The boathouse has been one of my favorite restaurants but after yesterday I am not sure if I will come back. I saw one server that I recognized. Please train the server before they serve your guests.

Slow roasted ribs are the way to go! The spicy chipotle bbq sauce had good heat but not too much heat! I had the Mac and cheese as a side and that was tasty! We would definitely get food here again.

Great first-time visit to the Montgomery Inn! I had the brisket sandwich with a sweet potato. Generous portion and delicious flavor. Loved the barbecue sauce. Our party of 16 had reservations and we were treated superbly and expertly by our seasoned waiter. Beautiful view of the Ohio River. I heard great reviews of the ribs, crab cakes and shrimp. Excellent!

Party of 3 had very nice dinner on a Thursday evening. We used the Valet parking (not sure how to avoid that). After getting some nice pictures outside, we went up to the bar to wait on our 3rd guest. Three (I think) very nice and quick bartenders. It was nice sitting there with a wonderful view of the Ohio River. After drinks we went down to get our table. Another nice view....right by the window. We had another round of drinks then ordered. One BBQ chicken with sweet potatoes, one salmon with broccoli and side salad, one BBQ Pork sandwich with mac and cheese. And since we did want to try the famous ribs, the server suggested the appetizer size ribs. All food was very good! The ribs, big order for an appetizer!...were very good too of course. We shared a profiterole for dessert. Yum!! Friendly staff, from the valet, to the hostess, the bartenders, the person that walked us to our table and our server....everyone was very nice and friendly. While the Boathouse looks like a fancy, special dinner kind of place, I thought the decent price of everything would make it more of a regular dinner out place. Which is good! We will be back! We have driven by the Boathouse on our way into town, seeing it from I-471 as we cross the Yellow bridge (sorry, don't know the name of that bridge) we have always said we have to eat there someday. So glad we finally did!

Excellent dinner with a view! This place is special. We loved everything we tried. You won't go wrong with anything barbecue here. The burgers were also stellar. Service was quite friendly and helpful as well. Can't wait to come back!

Amazing view of the river. Walked in without a reservation and were seated right away. Server was friendly and knowledgeable about menu. Attentive but not in a stalker way. House made ranch dressing was delicious. Had the ribs with the sauce on the side - great choice. Ribs were meaty, juicy and flavorful. I highly recommend.
