Excellent Margaritas and Salsa with Chips. The Taco Birrias were on a category on their own...hands down recommended.

Mesa had a very unique feel to it. It is located in a pretty happening area of Hyde Park, and I decided to try something new. The recommendations from the staff were great, and they were very respectful and pleasant. The restaurant itself feels a little uninspired, but the food and drinks speak for themselves. The jalapeno infused karrikin tequila (Cincy made) made for one of the best spicy margaritas I have found in the city. The flautas were recommended to me, and they were fire. I loved every bite. The birria tacos definitely had the right taste and by no means were bad, but I did not find them to be special like the flautas. Overall a great experience with the staff and dining.
Mesa Loca is upscale Mexican restaurant meets local neighborhood bar. The food is amazing and if craft cocktails are your thing, this is the place to try. The only downside- tacos can only be purchased 3 to a meal. Would much prefer the option to order them individually.
Nestled in the town of Hyde Park slightly north of the city of Cincinnati, we found Mesa Loca. It is on the corner of Hyde Park Square. Easy to find accessible parking all around, the place has a very welcoming, comfortable vibe. It is an excellent spot for date night, girls night, family night or single night. They have a well stocked and beautiful bar, awesome wall art and super cool light fixtures, but how's the food? Well, I most definitely saved the BEST for last, because WOW! The Birria tacos were so full of flavor and spicy they were absolutely perfect, but our favorite part was the starter of freshly made guacamole and queso dip with spicy chorizo! We most definitely filled up on the best authentic Mexican food the city has to offer. We were so pleased with the food, atmosphere of the space and the Absolutely perfect service. From Nick who sat us and then followed up before we left, letting us know they serve brunch and would love to have us back to the adorable and kind waitress Cait! We will most definitely be in to try more of this delicious menu! Stop in you won't be disappointed! ??
Long time Mesa customer; first time reviewer! Can't speak highly enough of what's become one of our favorite places. From the amazing cocktail menu -- to the thoughtfully created dishes -- to the top notch hospitality, Mesa Loca is the real deal. The cocktail in the photo is their take on a White Russian and it's amazing!
Seriously the best in everything. Best quality food, beautiful atmosphere, the staff - amazing. It truly can't get any better. We've visited twice now, the staff remembered us from the first time, incredible memory!!! Alex is the best!!!!!!! We brought friends because we bragged so much about our first visit and Mesa Loca did not disappoint. Our friends left just as happy as us. The birria tacos are the best, get the menchango rice! The birria burger is phenomenal and drinks are always on point. Hands down best.Mesa Loca knows how to make an experience memorable. Thank you for being so awesome. I've never enjoyed dining out as much as we do when we visit your restaurant. I've never been so excited or impatient to come back. And it's seriously hard to leave!!! My husband and I came here for the first time, since we have driven by it several times and wanted to try it out. We had a reservation, so we were seated right away. We ordered margaritas, which were very good. We then ordered the trio of salsas and the guacamole. The mango habanero salsa was our favorite, with just the right amount of heat. The other salsas were just ok and so was the guacamole. We have definitely had better. We ordered shrimp and fist tacos (we liked both) and the elote (street corn), which was amazing! Our server was very friendly so all in all we left leaving satisfied.
Honestly, it was just fine. We went on Wing Wednesday and it was a unique flavor of the wings. We had to send one of our drinks back because it was very... Not great. Our service was great however. Not sure I would go back, but happy to recommend everyone try it once.
