We found this place on TripAdvisor, as we were driving from North Carolina to Indiana. We enjoyed the energy of the space; it was loud and fun and seemed like a lot of locals were gathering. Which is always lovely. I really enjoyed the vibe of the place. And my food was…good, but it wasn’t excellent. I had the Pollo Asado, billed as “2 lb. of our traditional cuban brined chicken legs and thighs, slowly roasted and finished on an open fire grill. served with your choice of side GF.” and it did not come with anything else on the plate. (Not that the menu said it would. The menu just said it was a plate of chicken). That seemed odd. It did come with a side, and you could order rice or a salad etc. There were definitely some greens you could order, the salad looked lovely, but I ordered the rice, because Pollo asado and rice is pretty classic…But then when it arrived, it just looked a little uninspired. It tasted good, and I’ve had that preparation many times, but there was just something missing. I love Venezuelan and Peruvian food. When we lived in Boston we had a Venezuelan restaurant down the street. Maybe if the dish had a bit more spice, or some sort of sauce on the side to put on the rice, or even if the chicken came with a veg plus a side of starch. You could order sauces, but they cost extra; should I really be paying extra for a little Crema when the dish itself was $24? I’m not one of those gals who has to have a “meat and three”, or who expects a meal to come with a salad and a lot of sides. Leave that to the chain places. But… since we only had just the protein, plus one side, the plate felt a bit bare. It would be very easy to just put a little bit of greens and some quick house dressing on the plate with chicken. Or, again, a little dipping sauce or something to drizzle over the rice. And then that would make the meal more complete. My husband had their pabellon. It was also OK. Not something that was exquisite. On the plus side: our waitress was attentive, and I received a generous pour of red wine. The sangria was also excellent, I love when sangria has cinnamon in it.

Amazing arepas ans churros! And the sangria is very good as well. Not too expensive, either. I will definitely be returning.

too expensive for what they offer, especially in terms of portion sizes and ingredients. they do have vegan options, however i found that the tofu was missing salt. i did enjoy the ambience, though.

This place is fantastic! The waitstaff is very efficient and kind, the chef is inspired, and the food absolutely delicious. This is Puerto Rican street food made to high standards. Everything is expertly seasoned, it’s a great space and location.

Maize is a good answer for when you want something like Mexican, but not that heavy/savory. The food we ordered was light and flavorful but not overpowering. I would say the real hero of the meal was the cilantro crema sauce which we put on everything. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive. We were also able to get a table at 7:30 on a Saturday. The cozy atmosphere was appreciated but at different points it did border on being too loud.

We randomly checked this place out while downtown. Delicious, clean, well lit, awesome mix of different culture delicacies. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, able answer all the questions we had. They effortlessly mix different styles together to present a truly unique palette experience.

Made a reservation online. Upon arrival, we were promptly greeted and seated. There not a best place to sit. The contemporary layout and busy atmosphere do not make this romantic. The Latin American cuisine inspired food menu provide several options. The food is served very attractively and tastes as good as it looks. Portion sizes are just fine. The MOFONGO: Green plantains mashed with mojo was not the best tasted in Cincinnati but a good runner up.

Superb drinks. Phenomenal food. Attentive staff. Awesome vibe. This place is top notch! I am always recommending it to friends. Every time I leave, I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Great atmosphere and food is delicious.

Excellent Greek food at excellent prices. The shawarma pita was great and so were the fries. Unassuming location inside of Holiday Spirits, but love the cozy atmosphere inside.
