In my opinion its the only steakhouse to go to. The staff is always friendly and the food is just plain awesome! I order my steak well done which in some cases dries it out but not at Longhorn Eastgate! Always done in the middle but still juicy and tender! People ask me where i want to eat and i always say Longhorn!!!
Service from the server was awesome. Steak was rare when ordered medium rare (I thought it might moo) and asparagus was mushy. Great service, not so great food. And the manager made me feel like a piece of poo for answering someone that was in my party when she asked me how the asparagus was and I told her it was mushy (he overheard our conversation- I wasn't complaining). The manager said most people prefer it that way. Again, great service from the server, not so great food.
Place was very busy, the waitress was still able to make sure we were good on our drinks, and food. Steak was cooked to my order. Slightly less than rare. Very clean. Wait time was exactly what was told. Made for a great experience.
Longhorn has consistently good food and quality steaks for a reasonable price. This location is always busy, so I recommend using their call head waiting (which you can do from their website). Servers at this location are very good as well.
I ordered a loaded baked potato, it wasn't. The side salad I got was teeny tiny. The $3.and change drink was a kids cup. Wasn't worth it. I also asked fo bread.. didn't get it. This is the first time I have gotten take out. All the other times I eat there is dine in, which is fantastic. Not sure what happened with take out.
Everything was wonderful. From the time we walked in and bar service. We were greeted to let us know our table was ready. Our waiter was fun and full of personality. The food was amazing ? ? ? ?
My fiancé and I had an awesome experience tonight at Longhorn in east gate! Denise and the chef were so kind and made our dinner perfect! Also Denise is a very good waitress!! Amazing!
We had lunch which was soup and a salad. It was just perfect, of course it came with the delicious bread. We can never get in for dinner because their so busy, but no as much for lunch. Really enjoyed it.
Waitress kept forgetting everything. Even one of my kids full meals and seemed shocked when she came to my table with food and actually had no memory of me even having a 3rd kid it seemed like. It was kinda funny. Butter to spread on bread was so hard theres was really no point in using it. Tipped her 30 on an 88. Just cuz she was pleasant. I think if my reactions to all the weirdness going on helped. Im a server so i get it. But everything was just off. We got thru it though. Usually an outback customer and trying new things. I think ill try texas roadhouse next and if they mess it up then i suppose back to outback i go.
The food here is always great, but our steaks tonight were seasoned a little heavier than usual. They were cooked perfectly, as always, just a little heavy on the spice. This chain does a great job of teaching their grill chefs how to properly grill steaks, and it shows that they care enough to get it right, every time! We've eaten at other, more expensive restaurants, and have sent the food back, because it wasn't cooked properly. Even though it was heavier than usual, I ate every bite!
