The food from Kinneret was beyond amazing for the Super Bowl!
Food is amazing, staff are friendly, and I loved the vibe the inside gave off as a small, nice Kosher restaurant.
Haven't been to Cincinnati in a few years, but wanted to try Kinneret Grill as I'd heard they'd evolved from a dairy joint to a meat place. I remember when Avner began the venture, and it's good to see they're still around, and with a much improved ambiance. We stopped by on the first night of Hanukkah around 7 PM after requesting a reservation. Our table was kindly saved, but they did not seem overly busy, with only 2 or 3 other tables occupied. I asked the waitress if Avner was around, and apparently he's around during the lunch shift, while his wife Karen is there after lunch. We sat down and placed our orders. It seemed to take a bit of time for our order to come, but we had the time and enjoyed an IPA until our food arrived. In keeping with the Hanukkah theme, we got the Latkes, which were delicious and fried very properly. For our actual dinners, we ordered the Mediterranean plate and the Bacon Burger. While the burger was absolutely juicy and delicious (with serviceable fries), the Mediterranean plate was far more mediocre. Many, if not all, items from that plate were readily identifiable by taste as the prepackaged goods I always get from the store, rather than fresh offerings.Overall, I'd like to come by again and give them another shot if I'm in the area, but the impression I walked away with is that the food is hit or miss here.
Maybe they were in sales prevention mode this night. I placed my first order online for carry out because they didn't answer phone. I arrived, stood at the door, by the sign which says "pickup here", for 4 1/2 minutes, only to be ignored. Finally, I walked to the counter in the back. They asked for my name, twice, and then said "7-8 minutes". BTW, staff weren't wearing masks. If this passes for hospitality then I'll go other places.
Great food! Friendly staff.
Great kosher option in Cincinnati. Service was friendly and quick.
We had steaks with couscous, sweet potato fries, Israeli salad and grilled vegetables. The steaks were cooked perfectly to our liking and the seasoning was delicious. And I’d never had sweet potato fries that tasted so sweet-potatoey. The owner came out and greeted us warmly. Great service too. As-in-all an experience that couldn’t easily be topped! If (when) were in Cinci again, we would definitely come back.
Kinneret Grill prepares and serves top quality service and food. Absolutely gourmet and delicious main dishes, appetizers, and sides are graced with the warm and friendly faces of the owners and workers. You should stop over and dine in or take out!
Disappointing is the best description I can give. I was looking for a good Mediterranean restaurant and decide to give Kinneret a try. If you are looking for a Kosher restaurant then this is probably a good choice, the decor and atmosphere are really nice. Food was really disappointing. Babba Ganush should not be sweet like candy and the falafel tasted like it came out of a frozen bag not freshly made, totally bland, hard and not good. Won't be visiting Kinneret again, but hopefully they will improve their offering. Nice place horrible food.
Delicious Mediterranean kosher food. Tasteful quiet decor and great service. Both the Mediterranean sampler and the chicken shawarma were delightful. Definitely will come again when we are in Cincinnati.
