I stopped in for lunch today as a first time visitor. The owner was the nicest and most welcoming lady. I ordered vegetable samosa, which homemade and amazing, and also chicken tikka masala. It was also outstanding. I have been to a lot of Indian restaurants, and Kanak easily ranks in the top 5! If you haven't been here, you need to come!
RUDE WORKERS. i was super nice, but had a few questions as it was my first time there. Spent over $50 to feed my boyfriend and I. The lady was so rude and mean. this for whatever reason has been a trend with the workers /owners at Indian restaurants around the area.food okay, but if these people don't appreciate their customers then its not worth my time or money. wont be back.
Horrible Dine-in experience.Arrived and was not greeted so much, as gestured to find a seat, which we did.We were provided menus only (no water, silverware, plates) and then left to peruse for about 10 minutes before the hostess/waitress came to take our order.Food arrived in two batches with a missing item and we had to wait several minutes for the hostess/waitress to re-appear from the back to request that item.To the restaurants credit the food was good. Though dishes were small for the price. I'd estimate about a cup of cooked rice and an 8oz entrée portion for each of our groups entrees at $15 each. Total bill for 4 was $90 after we added Naan and a few soft drinks. The service was below standard and unlike anything I've ever experienced. We were never checked on. Never offered a refresh of our soft drinks/water. When the bill was brought we asked for to go boxes and were given three. When we asked for two others the waitress/hostess just stared at us. Then pointed to the ones she had dropped off. I politely but firmly indicated that we still would need two additional boxes and was greeted with a very unhappy glare. As we boxed our food the waitress/hostess returned with a large dish tub, that she proceeded to set on the end of our table and then reach out piece by piece for us to hand her all of our dishes/glasses/silverware. Keep in mind we were still visiting, chatting and boxing our food at this point.Never in my life have I experienced service this poor. If the restaurant is having issues with staffing and would rather only do carryout, I would fully support this change in their business model, rather than to act as if the two tables of dine-in customers you have during a 90 minute lunch are an inconvenience and a bother.I would not recommend dining in at this establishment to anyone and honestly for the price charged vs what you get in terms of serving size/quantity of food I wouldn't recommend it for take out either.
I did not have a good costumer experience here. When we made our order it was not the same as the website. We were not given all of the things we ordered and when the payment process was taking long she dissmised me 3 times. When my boss found that the order was wrong we called back to see what we could do to get or original order, the lady hung uo on us 4 times and wouldnt let us get the other dishes we paid for.
The food is not like the pictures, taste salty and not real. the price is incredibly high. No service, not recommend.
Worst Indian food that I have ever had, super expensive but low food quality. I’ll never come back.
Tandoori chicken had Buffalo sauce and came in a weird tasting onion based curry, Fish Tikka also came in a weird tasting onion curry and the flavors did not blend well. Sabz Chicken curry was ok but the veggies in it were hardly cooked, it felt like salad mixed in hot curry. If you are used to indian food, I would not recommend the above listed dishes. May be other dishes are good. But I will not be going back here due to my bad experience with the food.Note: This was one of the few places open during Christmas eve, so we wondered if they had a different cook/chef resulting in the bad experience.
Delicious food and great service! This place should have higher ratings. The tiki masala, saag, Chicken vindaloo, and garlic naan were all wonderful!
Poor service and attitude coupled with low quality food as served. Ignored request for drink refill was requested so that a party of 6 could be catered to. Food delivery drivers treated poorly during our party of 2 visit. They will not see another dime of my money.
Nice Indian fare. The food was fresh, tasty and served up quickly. If you choose a more spicy option, it's just more red chili powder. Some of the dishes had a lot of oil / ghee / butter.
