Our reservation was at 6pm. We sat down at 6:10. It’s 7:23 and our food is just now getting started. No apologies or explanations.Edit: 8:15pm and we’re finally leaving. Gratuity was auto-added to our bill due to our six-person party, which was frustrating given that they also messed up my order. The table across from us sat down after us and was served 21 minutes earlier than us. The table next to us sat down after us and was served at the same time. My drink was left empty. They acknowledged our poor experience as they handed me the bill with a quick apology that I couldn’t hear and a 10% discount (which amounted to about $5 per person) at the very end. $5 per person for over an hour of waiting in an overly-packed, loud, 79° restaurant when we had a reservation. It was insulting. This is where my family has met for every party and holiday for the past ten years; I’ve had many “meh” experiences here but I’ve turned a blind eye because I work in customer service myself and I know how the industry can be sometimes. This time around was difficult to ignore. Whoever manages this restaurant cares more about profit and packing customers in like sardines than they care about customer experience. I will not let our gatherings be spoiled by Kabuto again.

Never again. We've given this place enough chances. The place is dirty, menus were all ripped up and dirty. Very unaccommodating. I have a severe mushroom allergy. At the beginning we told the server there could be no mushrooms prepared near my food. Not only did they refuse this but said I still had to pay for the "experience" but my food would be prepared in the kitchen and I would have to pay an additional fee for the inconvenience. We got up, left, and went to the Hitachi restaurant we should've gone to in the first place.

I came here to celebrate my sister’s remission. The waiter was patient and did a great job. It took them a long time to get us seated but we were a big party. I had the strawberry margarita, which I loved. I also had the steak and scallops hibachi. The salad that came with it was delicious. The soup wasn’t my favorite. The fried rice, vegetables, and scallops were great. However, the steak and the two pieces of shrimp that came with it didn’t taste right. The morning after eating the food I felt sick. I would probably only stick to the vegetable hibachi if I ever came back. Also they did give a decent portion size. I was just sampling as the food hit the plate lol

Went to Kabuto for carryout for myself and my son. He ordered Chicken and Shrimp hibachi combo. I ordered just chicken hibachi. When I got home, and looked inside the boxes. His combo had more chicken than shrimp, and mine had very little chicken. I called immediately and was told by the manager that people share food, and it's like I cook when I cook at home? What does that have to do with the fact that I was charged for something I didn't get? I understand portions, but Kabuto isn't cheap. There was more meat in my son's than mine. I asked him what he was planning to do to rectify this, he told me nothing. I won't be back!!!!

So after my hubby’s hectic schedule we finally went outside for our Late Valentines date and decided to go to Kabuto. It was friday night so my husband told me to make a reservation and I try to called them at first I talked to a Japanese guy and told me to go anytime because it’s not busy. But I called again to make sure that we will have a sit around 6:30PM and the a girl take down my reservation and everything went well. Once we arrived there’s a line already and told the host that we have a reservation for 3pax. We went to Hibachi area where the chef’s are cooking in front of you. We’re glad that we have a reservation and choose the Hibachi area. We loved how the chef prepared the foods. It was so fantastics ! We like the chicken, shrimp and vegetables. And I add a noodles for the last order, as an Asian who grew up in the Philippines I love eating Noodles but last night it was so salty, I guess the Soy sauce put too much. All in all It was good l,the ambiance is very Japanese Style.

I went to kabuto in hopes that it would be as good as Soho in mason. However it wasn’t ANYTHING like it. I ordered the shrimp and scallops, everything was great until I ate a carrot that was in my Hibachi meal. Somehow some way something VERY HARD found it’s way in my food. I managed to break it while I was eating it, and once I felt it, I immediately spit it out. I asked for a manager considering at that point I didn’t want to eat my meal due to a lack of trust after that. The manager came over ASKED TO GO THROUGH THE FOOD I SPIT OUT, then proceeded to inform me that I was wrong. Which I think I would know if I was wrong. Then after I told him I didn’t want the food anymore he attempted to guilt trip me into paying for the meal because the food is shipped from Canada and it’s hard to find and very expensive. Which if it wasn’t borderline a safety hazard I would have gladly paid for it. I TOTALLY understand that supply shortages affect everyone but don’t invalidate my experience and the fact that had I not broke the hard thing(whatever that was) I could have choked or broke a tooth.. My tooth STILL hurts, and the incident still hurts.

I love this place always have a great time with great food.. #1 cook is my good friend Eddie.. Your the best.

Plates need replaced chipped up. Coke taste like it's been in the pipeline for several weeks. First Japan steakhouse I've been to where there is chicken in the soup.

Had such a great experience. It was my first time at a hibachi and I loved it. Quick and friendly service and excellent food.

The food is delicious and they make it on hibachi grill in front of you. The prices are very good. The people who work there are very nice.
