Waited at the front counter for a while before I was even acknowledged when I arrived for a pick up order I'd placed online. Others were waiting in the lobby complaining about the service. Got back to the hospital to find that they did not give us the drinks we paid for. Called back to ask for a partial refund and sat on hold before getting to explain the situation twice, eventually being told that they'd process the refund "as soon as I have the chance."
Food was excellent! An interesting note: about 15 years ago we ate at the IHOP in Kenwood, and the food was so bad I vowed never to return. As it turned out, we were hungry and the IHOP in Beechmont was convenient, so we went in and the service was great, and the meal was superb!
We came during lunch rush, we waited about 15 min for a table. They were busy & they handled it well. There was a slight delay on our order, but our server brought the kids' food as soon as it was ready (which we appreciated). The restaurant was clean & our server was attentive. She kept our drinks full & table cleared - all the while keeping a friendly demeanor.
While I enjoy IHOP, this particular location was not a great experience. Our server never checked on us nor refilled our drinks at all. She also charged us for an extra side of gravy that we didn’t ask for. On top of this, my partner ordered a side of hash browns. This came out with a long curly black hair. We decided to let her know what we had found to which she said, “Well it’s either yours or mine so…”. My partner’s hair is very fine and straight. We were just very dissatisfied with this experience and likely won’t come back but we do want people to be cautious. From our view, no one in the kitchen was wearing a hairnet. Super unsanitary.
The GM there was great. He was seating people taking orders and delivering the food. He was doing everything by his self with no help in the front of the restaurant. He was great offered us drinks to go that he didn't have to that wasn't supposed to have refills on them but he gave us refills anyways. Thank you for your hard work and the pride you show running your restaurant.
Worst IHOP . Dirty.employees not using gloves or hair nets. Could see kitchen . Restroom not clean. Short staff so no ony check on you while waiting to update you on your order. Not going back. Stopped because in the area thought all were the same. Not the case.
The bacon and toast was hard, the sausage was under cooked. That was a waste of my money. I guess the person I took was ok with their food. It will be a long time before I go back there again
Slow to no service. Need help. Staff could only seat a small amount of people.tld everyone that came in ,10 minutes took 20 and another 10 to be served. Food was ok but question on how clean or if sterile handling food and dish .saw my person with fingers literally inside my cup as he was giving to me .why not pick up with handle. No hairnet on. Or gloves used while preparing foodCould see cooks. I know Holliday is a bummer to work but you can make money and tips if following certain manners in restaurant. We passed up several restaurants because either full or closed. We were in the neighborhood waiting on some one from airport and decided to try different places but decided to go to a favorite . Never again will I assume all restaurants are the same.
I will NEVER come to IHOP again. I waited 15 minutes without a server or anyone verbally acknowledged me, after making eye contact with several of them multiple times. One of the servers kept loudly complaining about the line at the front for take-out and said 'Well they're just going to have to wait.' The customer behind me said that he wasn't going to take that from them. I finally walked into the kitchen as I could see my order sitting on the counter and a manager finally came around the corner and started helping. NEVER. EVER. AGAIN.
Great service! We had a large party, but they did a great job on our order. She checked back regularly on our drinks, too. Be patient because they don't have a lot of help (seems to be the case everywhere)
