First off the staff was great and so was the breakfast; however, the room quality was poor. Hard beads creaky frames outdated and dirty light fixtures. The bathrooms were also bad they were clean but the drains didn’t drain and tubs were yellowed. I’ve stayed at holiday inns many times before, but the state of our room wasn’t acceptable for the rate we paid.
Very tired Holiday Inn. We were definitely concerned when we entered the lobby and saw how tired everything was. We got there at 10 pm and unfortunately had to wait a while to check in. We got to our room, pulled back the sheets and found Doritos crumbs and other miscellaneous stuff. We decided if the cleaning staff made one bed without changing the sheets there was a good chance another room would be the same so we checked out.
Service was fine (folks behind the counter are friendly and doing the best they can) considering the labor shortage, however the cleanliness standards at this hotel are pretty low. In my room, lots of dirt, dust, hair, and food scraps around the edges of and behind the furniture, even under the coffee table. Stains all over the wall too, and trash all over behind the bedside table. Besides the cleanliness issues, the hotel is in big need of refurbishment. Was state of the art perhaps in the 80's and 90's, but that was a long time ago. Some positives- the wifi is decently fast and reliable, and the bed is passable (lots of fluffy pillows). Showers have good water pressure and plenty of hot water.
Probably just fine for a one day stay. Nice lobby, indoor pool, & good staff. The hotel policy of cleaning your room only every two days is nuts. Ok, don't change the sheets, but at least empty the trash, make the bed, & resupply clean towels, soap, & coffee. We had to go to the front desk to demand this essential service. Won't soon be spending $140 a night at the holiday inn.
A really good place to stay at for a couple of days, I really enjoyed the rooms and the breakfast was amazing! The food was really good and there were a lot of options to choose from. The waiter was really nice and helped us the best she could! It was also not that far from other activities. The rooms are little small compared to other Holidays, but still a great hotel!
I really liked this hotel. It’s reasonably priced but surprisingly very lovely. The pool and hot tub were a welcome end to our day. The staff is all really nice and helpful. I left my tablet behind and they found it and sent to me overnight.
The check in process was mostly seamless and the staff was cordial. The room was equipped with a coffee maker, microwave and fridge. The room smelled like old carpet. The sheets etc were clean. Only one usb outlet for 2 cables. The A/C was a nightmare. It kept making this loud moaning sound and then once it clicked on/off it made loud sounds which woke me up every single time. It is noisy outside and you can head all the street traffic. I’m not a light sleeper and this was annoying. Luckily i was only there for 3 nights. I would never return. If hotels expect people to pay decent money for a stay, the least they can do is clean the carpets, upgrade the bathrooms and install quiet HVAC systems. I’ll definitely not return. I don’t know why I expected more from Holiday Inn! I was here for a business trip but I will have to recommend another brand of hotels to my job.
Convenient location. EXCELLENT staff. They were super friendly and very helpful. My issue was with the room. The room was very outdated and not really attractive. The furniture was old, much of it scratched and worn. The carpet had some tears and was extremely outdated as well. There were tears and stains in some of the wallpaper and a couple of areas of peeling paint on the ceiling. Pretty much every area had some kind of scratch or stain in each part of suite. We had a 2 bedroom king suite which had the potential to be really nice had the decor and furniture received updates, love and care they needed. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We could have used an extra blanket. The let out sofa also wasn't bad (and those are usually awful!) The suite was clean although, the toilet seat was completely scratched and stained and the toilet bowl inside had some very gross black stain. The vanity in the main bathroom had several scratches and the bathtub was discolored. I didn't request another room because I didn't really want the hassle and it served the purpose of sleeping. This was my first time staying at a Holiday Inn. I expected better.
My fiancé and I recently stayed in your hotel, we ate breakfast in the restaurant every morning. It wasn’t the food that kept us coming back (however it was delicious) but our waitresses Elaine and Carolyn were fantastic. They’re so adorable, friendly, and kind. They both remembered us from last year too! That made my day.We never ran out of utensils and always had our drinks at the table before we could even sit down. We contemplated staying at a closer hotel next year but decided not to just so we could see our breakfast ladies again! If you’re staying at the Holiday Inn, make sure you grab some breakfast!
For starters, we booked this place through Hotwire at a good price, but I’m starting to suspect that hotels use these services to get customers into rooms that are in need of updates, as you can’t ask to switch once you get there. The lobby is impressive and open, with a waterfall in the middle. The pool area seems fine, with a pool and hot tub. Our room though … beds were comfortable and it was very clean, but it seriously needed an update. The furniture had a lot of worn spots, scratches and stains. The bathroom needed some serious help as well. Again, clean, but the grout was yellowed and grungy, the finish on the counters was wearing off, and the fan grate was chipped and moldy. There’s just so much cleaning can do. I just expected a little better than that for a Holiday Inn.
