My first time going to Goody's was on my birthday June 11th I've been knowing about goodies since they were in College Hill back in the seventies. The rib tips were so juicy and tender. The sides I felt were over priced but other than that everything was wonderful and I just happened to be there when they had live music I really enjoyed myself and definitely will be back.
I've lived about two blocks away from Goodies for a couple years and apologize to myself and them that I've never tried it before today. I went for the first time and was blown away! The employees I talked to were AMAZING. They made doubly sure my order was right, gave me their recommendations, and were so welcoming, courteous, and nice. On top of that, the restaurant interior looked great, I loved the music, and it smelled delicious. I told my wife that even if the food was bad, I would consider coming back. Of course the food was NOT bad--it was delicious! I got a pork sandwich and a brisket sandwich with their sauce, a total of four sides, and two pieces of bread--all for a surprisingly reasonable price. All of it was delicious, especially the brisket, okra, and collard greens. If you're in Mt. Healthy and haven't tried Goodies, don't wait like I did--check it out! I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it and intend to be back SOON!
I was really craving some BBQ and my buddy of mine recommended I try this place. He told me it was the only place that may be able to compete with his dads BBQ. Well He wasn’t lying the food was amazing and the cook Curtis made it a great experience. I loved that it was local but also was a family owned bbq spot that’s been passed down through generations. If your in the area try this place you won’t be disappointed and best of all your supporting a locally owned Restaurant. I even came back the second day and got the brisket sandwich with the peach cobbler. It did not disappoint. Thank you Goodies you all rock and the bbq sauce on point!
Great food great people would like to thank cary and the crew for the full plate of food for lunch today. There isn’t enough stars to recommend how good it was. Highly recommend
Okay Goodies bbq, service needs to seriously stepped up! I ordered online at 11:30am with confirmation to pick up at 1:30pm I arrive at 1:30pm and still have to wait. Another person was waiting on an online order and found out you didn’t open till 1pm. That time is not on you website. Been coming to you all since College Hill store. I’d like to keep coming, but it has to get better!
My rib tips were meaty delicious.
Good food... If you can get some before they run out. This must be the reason why they're not taking call in orders. With that being said... Lines are always long, the staff are short tempered, the customers are sometimes worse. Which shows that there's breakdown on all sides.Goodies... Take Pre-Paid phone orders. If the customer doesn't show... That meal is paid for. You can't reserve it... Donate it?Customers...Please understand that these are truly tough times for EVERYONE. No one can afford wasted time or food.People in general...It doesn't cost a cent to be nice. It doesn't take anything away from you. It only adds grace, empathy, and consideration. Those 3 items pay for themselves in seconds... Once you see how positivity affects others... It's infectious...Better to infect with Kindness.
The food was great and the service was even better! Really enjoyed this place.. will be back again.. the only thing I could say needed improvement was the greens were WAY to salty! Currently only accepting cash.. plan accordingly!
We picked up food from Goodies for my daughter's 3rd birthday party. Everything was so delicious. Our guests loved the Brisket and everyone wanted to take leftovers home. It was the best Brisket I have ever tasted!
We had goodies through the food truck last night and it was so good! The service was phenomenal. The kindest men working and ready to serve. Took one bite to try it and take a picture but couldn’t stop eating it! Will definitely order again if they are out our way!
