First time there since it was a place called Teller's, and they really revamped the whole place! They moved the bar to the other side, added a coffee counter + butcher's deli counter with a quick shop to pick up take out meats! Every employee there was receptive & friendly.I had the enormous BLT sandwich & the pancakes, which I could only muster a few bites of. They pretty much had all of Hawaii's macadamia nuts on top & toasted to boot!Definitely a great spot to dine & shop for your next meal.....*Also, Sunday Brunch hosts a DJ that plays old Funk tunes! ??
Glorious brunch experience!
Birthday celebration. Great location, decor and ambiance. Service from Amanda was stellar!
Really a fantastic menu. Friendly service, nice ambiance and decor.
Stunning space and excellent service! Look forward to coming back.
I wanted to like this place so badly, but it was a poor experience pretty much across the board. The service was so slow. It took 25 min to get water, and it didnât improve from there. Our cocktails took 50 min to arrive and werenât very good. From there we decided to order a bottle of wine instead of trying several glasses because we were concerned about timing. The wine came halfway through our meal, was decanted and left on a center table in the dining room. After multiple attempts to get a server to bring it to our table we started refilling our glasses ourselves. The food was good, not worth the wait. The wine list was insanely expensive. If you wanted a cab, good luck finding one under $350. Iâm not exaggerating. I was so disappointed I texted a couple of foodie friends after and they said their experiences were comparable. Would not go back.
Our server, Ben was incredible. We made notes about the occasion beforehand and he read them all and congratulated us. The bartender made incredible mocktails for my pregnant wife, which she loved. For the price, I had high expectations and they were exceeded.
Outdoor patio service was poor for the quality of restaurant and price we paid for food. Long delays before coming to our table and what appeared to be communication issues between bartender and waiter.
Great building that has two floors of dining & a great outdoor patio. The food quality was excellent & the cocktails were phenomenal. Menu was loaded with options - but some of the items did seem out of place. The restaurant staff was attentive and we got to interact with many different members. Good spot for dinner though the cushion chicken was over sold as it was dry & not seasoned well. All in all, way more positives then the one negative. I will be back again.
We had heard a lot of buzz from fellow residents around Hyde Park regarding Dear.So we decided to check it out. on the plus side, the ambience is excellent. They have really done a nice job updating the decor. We know the restaurant well from its previous iteration. This is definitely an upgrade. Some of the food was also wonderfully prepared. The steaks were impressive. Very tasty very lean and cooked exactly to the right temperature. We also enjoyed the tomato and peach salad and the charcuterie board. On the other hand, prices were really steep even for an upscale restaurant. In addition there was a little bit of haughtiness to the staff. The restaurant hasnât been open enough for them to earn it in my opinion. Especially pricey where the wine selections. These appeared to be at north of three times wholesale which is ridiculous. They were also very few mid range selections. I may come back for the steaks. But I think there are better options around town.
