I had one piece spicy grilled cat fish with a coleslaw and a hash brown casserole. The food was tasty as usual but I thought the food plate came out looking dirty, so I actually had to wipe them off, so I can feel good about eating. It wasn't really dirty but there was a lot of food residue here and there making the dish look messy, and the plate itself had a big chip and it just gave a poor presentation of the dish. I think in the restaurant industry, the presentation speaks a lot about whether the kitchen cares or not. It is very rare for me to leave a 3 star rated comment. I am hoping they can address the issue. When I am on the road, I always stop by at a cracker barrel, so I hope you take this as a constructional criticism. The server was good and it was a friendly environment esp for the mother's day weekend, and the cashier ladies were nice.
My wife and I stopped after checking into our hotel and were both excited to get some as usual great food at this Cracker Barrel. We’ve been to many Cracker Barrel restaurants but never this one. We don’t live around here so you’ve lost not much business but this review will hopefully make a change or two.We sat down at 7:13 pm. Our server took our order right after the table next to us which was a table with a family of 4. The server then went to the kitchen. 40 minutes later we were still waiting for our food all awhile the table of 4 was served and ate and left the restaurant. A gentleman sitting right across from us sat down about 15 minutes after we did and he was served in about 15 minutes from that time. He then asked us what the heck we ordered that would take so long. I think he was literally embarrassed that he got served before us. At the 40 minute point I decided to go ask where our foot was. Our server was not around so I asked another server. She asked where I was sitting. At that time our server came out of the kitchen and asked me what was wrong. I explained to her we had been waiting 40 minutes and that others had been sat served and eaten and even left the restaurant while we were still waiting to get our food. She then told me “oh it hasn’t been 40 minutes”. She then left me standing. My wife saw my face getting red and then came to me and said we need to talk to the manager. In all fairness the manager did a great job and showed empathy and apologized for the servers actions.I don’t know the servers name but I’m sure you all will know by my account above who it is.Our experience at this place is. It indicative to other Cracker Barrel’s. But this server here needs a little more training. Just saying. Thanks for listening.
Always delicious, with one caveat. The sausage gravy is different. It's now a little more flour-y and not quite as flavorful. I've noticed this the past number of times we've eaten there.Blueberry pancakes were particularly fantastic; combined with real maple syrup... ?
I called and no one ever came to phone to take my order, so I drove there. They were really busy and I waited quite a while for someone to take my order but it was worth the wait. The manager made my salad exactly how I asked with extra croutons, xtra ranch and a piece of cornbread. Maybe the hostess could take orders since she was standing there not busy while everyone else was busy busy...just a suggestion...in between seating people and taking names she could jot down an order or two ?
Stopped here for breakfast on our way from Memphis to Pittsburgh. Our food was hot and delicious and our waitress Amy was great. Also the parking lot has spots for RV parking that was helpful to us since we were towing a camper.
Literally the worst service I have ever experienced complete w an incompetent manager. Waited 20 min for our drink and food order to be taken while the manager watched it all happen. Food finally comes out after we have been in the restaurant for a little over an hour. Best part of all … the food comes out cold, has a weird taste to most items, hair in my food and the pancakes are old. Been a long time since I’ve been in Cracker Barrel and it will be even longer before I ever come back. Truly awful experience. And a manager couldn’t be bothered to come speak w me either.
We tried to call for over and hour to put an order in but no one picked up the phone. When I arrived at Cracker Barrel in Mason, Fields Ertel, I placed an order to which they said it would be ready in 25 minutes. After waiting over and hour the order was finally given to me. When I got home there was no meatloaf in the Sampler Meal. Very poor service and do not plan to return. When I was waiting, no one was answering any phone calls for pick up orders. Terrible Management!
Great food for a great price!
Love the atmosphere! Food is great and waitress was very attentive. The store is always interesting to look through.
My waitress wasn't very nice. She just pulled my table back as I was sitting at it for someone to sit behind me didn't even ask me if I wanted to move my table. The lady didn't even ask if we wanted refills. Won't be returning here for a bit. She didn't even ask ask me if I wanted butter or jelly for my biscuits. I got the meat, biscuits, & hashbrown casserole. I feel like she should have asked.
