I was with my friends when we visited city BBQ. We are originally from Northern WV, but visiting Ohio. We have never tried or heard of City BBQ until now. I ordered an chicken sandwich with French fries. I must say the chicken was very dry, the BBQ sauce was okay, and French fries was amazing. I put in 3 stars because the staff was super friendly and welcoming. I was just not a big fan. I personally would probably not go back again.
My meal was delicious! Great menu. Excellent customer service! Great location and reasonably priced. It was my first time, I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend it.
I ordered the brisket sandwhich and preferred the original sauce but will try others next time. Sandwhich was awesome along with the fries yum. True hand cut fries can't say enough about em. Peach cobbler absolutely delicious. My friend ordered the pulled pork sandwhich was moist and delicious and the baked beans were sweet and tangy. Best BBQ place I've ate at since I've been in Ohio. Thank ya for ya'all hospitality and great service. Would recommend to anyone and will always be a return customer.

Ordered online while staying in Cincinnati. Ordered the The Judges Sampler. Food was delivered within a half hour, which was nice. However, none of the food was even slightly warm. My chicken was actually leaning toward cooler than room temperature. I have eaten a lot of bbq in Memphis so I prefer not to have my bbq over sauced so I can can actually taste the smoke and meat flavor. This had zero sauce on any part of any meat in the sampler. Glad to have ordered extra sauce. The collard greens,Mac & cheese and cornbread were good but were room temperature as well. I might try a sandwich next time to give them a second chance. Maybe
We stopped and tried out their chicken, pulled pork and brisket. I was told the pork and chicken was good. The brisket was awesome. The staff was over the top. We were greeted by a young lady who made us feel at home before we got inside. We ordered received our food and found seats. Behind us was this load mouth doing a face to face phone call about his business the entire time we tried to eat. On my way out I told the young lady who had her Manger put a stop to the loud mouth. Yes I should have stopped it long before I did but out of respect to the other diners I didn't. Good food Excellent staff I'd give them a Recommend and will return.
The only reason this has a star is because the food wasn’t that bad. The service however was disappointing. We are from out of town visiting family and there was a young blonde girl who was so incredibly rude to us the entire time we were ordering. Hopefully you don’t have her in the front greeting people seeing as she made our entire experience terrible.
Ate here yesterday for lunch. I had the More Cow Bell brisket sandwich with potato salad as a side. It was fantastic! Brisket was juicy and very tender. Potato salad was excellent! Cashier was very friendly. We will definitely be back soon!
I frequent the City BBQ in Grove City and on their window is a sign that says something to the affect, if you have to cover your meat in BBQ sauce then you have something to hide. You guys must have something to hid. We ordered the judge's platter and everything except the brisket had sauce on it. I would have taken it back had it have. Once past the sauce? It was OK. Brisket was amazing, pulled pork was dry even with the sauce. I still gave 3 stars because that's smokehouse, never the same.
Where can I start. I used to love this place. It has since fallen far from barbeque. My last order i could only muster a few bites. The brisket was brokesket. Flavorless, dried out, rubbery, etc etc. Not enough barbeque sauce could rescue it. Moving on to the pork.... Not much to say there. The potato salad also dried out. How does that work? Beans were also cold, how do you mess up beans? Needless to say I wish I could say something better about this location but have decided this is now $hiity BBQ.
