Was hoping to be more impressed, but everything was just ok. First off the whole place kinda smelled like a bathroom. Like they are having sewage issues. We was the only table in there and the waitress never came back after we got our food. We ordered 2 of the 'perfect margaritas', they was anything but perfect. They were watered down. Tasted like lime and salt. Waitress was nice and got us different drinks but not before she explained how they were made and in a nice way made it seem like it was our issue. But I've tried many margaritas and these were some of the worst. The food was good. But nothing special.
Never ever ever go there. The owner Sunkara Sunman is completely and utterly disrespectful! I have never encountered a business so unprofessional. I typically do not write reviews. A team of mine have spent hundreds of dollars at this facility. We ordered $73.95 worth of food on 4/21. Our food was completely incorrect. We order the same food items each time so when there is a discrepancy we know. I called on 4/22 to advise the manager Hannah our food was incorrect and to see if the establishment received a new chef. Hannah at that point advised we would need to bring the food back or take a picture of the item. I added that we have our receipt. I then asked for the owner to call me. Mr. Sunman returned my call and questioned our integrity stating "why would you call a day later" he proceeded to ask me why am i getting defensive and ultimately hung up on me. As an establishment I understand people may attempt to take advantage of restaurants. i felt devalued taking to Mr. Sunamn and completely disrespectful. I would never eat her and would be sure to make others aware.
I hadn't been here in years and it was delicious, my mother and I had salads and margaritas and they were great!!! I'm so glad we decided to stop here, thank you for keeping your quality of food at its best!!!
Food was ok but the flavors was not what was expected for the price. Cheese dip was broken and gritty. Even sfter sending it back for this reason. It was not removed from the bill either.I would not recommend this location
Was there early for lunch. The decor is really extravagant. It is much bigger on the inside than appears from the outside. Definitely has a more eclectic menu which is good because it's Unique compared to other Mexican restaurants. I could see this being a real hopping place on a Friday Saturday evening.
The steak fajitas, flameado, and salsa are AMAZING. The portion sizes are large so two people can share. It’s definitely worth it to check out!
Please don't waste your time, money, and appetite. It was my 1st visit today and I wish I had read the reviews prior of deciding to eat here. The only positive part was the server did everything as she was supposed to and I'm appreciative for that, however the food, ingredients, temperature, and pricing on what I had received was sad. I ordered the fried pork belly tacos and a margarita on the rocks with regular Jose Cuervo not an expensive tequila choice by any means ($9.49 for that margarita, yikes!).Tacos came with rice which was the only time in my life I've had cold rice and little to none flavor. The chorizo on the tacos was terrible and the consistency of canned cat food mushiness and weird weird taste. Makes me sad to have to write this review. My advice start complete over and find an authentic flavor and quality ingredients.
I used to work at Children's Hospital so we used to have it very often. I have not had it in years. I picked up my favorite the chicken nacho salad and also ordered an enchilada dinner both were very good. The salad was as good as I remember. It would have been better if I had not had a 35 minute drive home before I can enjoy it. The salad dressing I think it's homemade as well as the salsa a roasted salsa that may also be, very yummy!
Out of business? We called a week ago to make a reservation for tonight. We tried to call several times earlier today to confirm our reservation, but received a message saying the number was no longer in service. We hoped it was a fluke and showed up anyways, but the restaurant was pitch dark. I truly hope that it didn’t go out of business… we loved this place!!! ?
Disclaimer: I never had their food but will gladly remove this review if they act like a responsible business and update their hoursI traveled into Cincinnati late and looked up restaurants close by that were still open. Both the front desk and online had Cactus Pear closing at 10pm. I walked there from the hotel and arrived around 9:20pm to a locked door. We knocked on the window because there were people inside enjoying but we were only greeted to a half opened door. I assume a manager of some sort told us, "oh no we're closed. That's wrong, we're closed." No apology as he stood next to a sign indicating they were open until 10pm. In chalk nonetheless. It's not difficult, update your hours.
