First time visit for dinner. It was not very crowded, a storm had recently rolled past. First thing I noticed was a table next to us with all four smoking. First impressions, this is just a bar on the river. The food and service were okay. I would consider a little over priced for bar food.
First time here and absolutely will be back. Food was great. My wide had the fried cod. I had the Ahi Tuna. We both enjoyed our food. Frozen margaritas were tasty as well. Views were great. We signed in on the wait list. It recommends that on they're web site. So glad we did because we were seated before people who had been there but not signed up on the wait list on yelp. Server was friendly and efficient. Great vibes from every one. Even if you have to wait its just so relaxing with the views. You are still able to get drinks from the bar while you wait as well.
My husband and I visited the Cabana for the first time. We took the Anderson Ferry from the Kentucky side of the river to the Ohio side. it was super cool. The Cabana is an awesome setting with a beautiful view. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. Our food and drinks were delicious. Our server was very friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend the Cabana on the River for fun night of food and drinks.
Went here on Sunday evening. My sister put us on a waiting list through a Yelp app otherwise the wait probably would have been over 2 hours. There was a young couple with an 8 month old who weren't on the yelp waiting list and the hostess staff refused to even give them an estimated wait time! There were 5 young women standing at the hostess desk who would have been more useful waiting tables. We had no choice of shade although we got an "inside table"and ended up with the sun in our eyes. There was a strong wind so I am guessing that's why no table umbrellas were open but no one said anythingA table in the shade right behind us was given to someone who had been seated outside even though their whole party wasn't present. Not good seating management! The food was ok typical bar fare. My brother in law had the cabana bread which was good. Fairly spicy with jalapeños. Our server was efficient but the entree was really slow in comingI had salmon sandwich with a substitute of a nice pretzel bun for the bread. I asked for the onion rings instead of the potato chops but they were not available so I got a bag of potato chips anyway. My advice is use the yelp app and still be prepared for no choice in seating and a long wait for food. I guess there aren't too many choices for dinner in Western hills.
Food good hate plastic cups esp full amd bees .Order a brought , absolutely Hugh . I ended up with a met
I’ve never had such a horrible service and experience.
Love the atmosphere… love the apps, love the drinks… but do not recommend the steak hoagie. It’s like a huge hamburger. Nothing like a steak hoagie!!! Hated it!
The drinks were great, service was very friendly and attentive. The goetta bites were delish, they did have a little bit of a 'bite'. The habite. sandwich was great, a little crunchy on the outside but the fish was lite and flaky. The potroast sandwich was huge, and also very good. will go back again.
The atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful being settled next to the water, and the food is always great. Be careful when you go, weekends get super busy and then it's a little crazy. However, if you can manage to go when it's calm, it's perfect. The pretzels and cheese are always a family staple, and honestly I've never had anything taste bad here.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff!!
