I used to love going to this restaurant but now, the quality has deterioriated. I stopped by for lunch and service was decent.I ordered a bento box with bulgogi for an additional $2. It was probably the worst bulgogi I’ve had (coming from someone who has lived in South Korea and a big fan of Korean food). First, the beef was tough. There were a few tender pieces but the tough bites outweighed the tender. Second, the marinade was off, not in the “gone bad” way, but didn’t taste right to a bulgogi flavor. Also, I would have to second other reviews with saying the restaurant doesn’t feel clean. I came in shortly after opening and while the bathrooms were freshly cleaned, I feel like the table I was sat at wasn’t. The tabletop was sticky (the menu stuck to it) along with the pencil holder and soy sauce container.
First time going and this will be my last time. After waiting over an hour for our seats we finally got seated and our waiter was very rude. He messed up all our orders. Our fried rice was cold and they didn’t put the egg in it. They double charged us for sauces we didn’t receive. The waiter had a nasty attitude the entire night it was obvious he didn’t want to be there. All of our bills were messed up and had the wrong meal prices. Gratuity charges are automatically added to the bill he got a $30 tip for Trash service! Never again!
After years of Aroma being our “go to” nearly every Sunday night as well as many other nights, we are leaving you forever.Aroma has the best sushi and amazing bimbim bop. What they have in food they lack in customer service. For the first time ever we ordered online rather then choosing to dine-in. We ordered thru the internet only to learn that Aroma has enlisted Door Dash for their online orders and the prices are 40% more. When we went to pickup the order and asked why the prices were different, we were told this was an issue with Door Dash. We were told had we called in the order we’d pay the same price as “dine-in”. They said “ we get lots of complaints,” “we tell our customers to call in,” “we can’t help you or change it.” They really we’re saying “too bad, so sad, not our problem, we don’t care.”When we got home we were missing an item. We called. The response was just as lackadaisical, “too bad, so sad.”I made arrangements to meet with the owner on Monday. He didn’t show. I was offered (I need to add the girl acted like she was sooooo generous) $12 for the missing sushi roll. “I’m going to give you back the full $12 you paid thru Door Dash,” she explained, as if she really only need to give me back their price of $6. I felt like I was stealing $6 from them.Nothing was said about Door Dash ordering, no effort was made to rectify this for all future customers who might not realize that calling in the order gave you the restaurant menu prices.Too bad, so sad, you’ve lost not only regular customers and a family that always recommends you but you also lost your reputation.Too bad, so sad, there’s plenty of other restaurants that understand how to retain their steady, regular and dedicated customers.
I love this place!Perfect during the winter time (:Great service, order is always right. Good energy and atmosphere. One of my favorite spots for ramen, perfect amount of spice. We need more ramen places like this around here! The Thai and Korean sweet and spicy chicken are both amazing. Some fried rice and gyozas are a must. They have veggie and pork gyozas. I haven’t tried the sushi yet but I’m sure I will soon!Definitely worth a try!
It's been a long time but we had to do it here. We were seated and we had to leave. The restaurant is in no shape to be selling food. It's disgusting. It use to be a decent restaurant so I don't know if ownership changed or what but we didn't even say for 5 minutes. Close your doors. Clean the place up and actually try. These sings are literally every 5 feet from each other. Looks trashy and really helps with overall theme of the place, lackluster.
Great food, customer service was fabulous.
Very friendly workers food was very delicious however it was my daughter birthday so it was very nice. The restaurant was very clean. Everything was great.
This place used to be great but has went down hill the last few years. This used to be my go to spot for half price sushi. I like my basic tuna and salmon rolls. Pretty big ripoff. All rice and no tuna. This used to be my #1 and dancing roll west Chester was my #2. Now dancing roll is #1 and aroma isn’t even top 5. The prices for basic tuna and salmon rolls are the same at both places. You actually get a nice sized tuna/salmon roll from dancing roll and you get a rice roll with a side of tiny tuna or salmon from aroma.
Unfortunately this will have to be my last time here. This place is gross as for cleanliness. I had to ask for my meal on paper plates because everything is so dirty. I almost walked out. This place is a total dump now. I loved this place in the past but not anymore. The health department needs to visit. Gave 2 stars because my server was a nice guy.
I order from Aroma all the time and ask for the sushi to be double cut. I think they have done it 2x out of 10 orders. Why can't they ever get that right. Also look at the Hot Mama portion. Not usual. We'll be looking elsewhere. Look at the Hawai'in roll.. hardly any salmon all avo. This is not worth $40 especially since they dropped the 50% off to 40% off.
