We usually dine at Alladin's in Hyde Park but wanted to try the new location in OTR. It did not dissappoint. Great atmosphere and as always, the food was delicious.

3 - 3.5 stars. Sorry but this is a very mixed review.First, the pineapple mojito was wonderful. Not too sweet, perfect.Unfortunately, the atmosphere was not wonderful. I just can't understand why they think people would want to watch blood sport while casually dining. And they have monitors all along one dining room wall so it's difficult to avoid them catching your eye. I left my comfortable booth and moved to a table where I could face the wall away from the TVs. A weird place to sit while dining solo, but who wants to watch cage fighting and bloody gore while eating? (Yes, I asked to change the channel and they ignored me)Next my entree salad arrived, inexplicably before my appetizer. Delicious. It's the one with mujadara, Lebanese salata, red quinoa, walnuts, zucchini, peas, crispy pitas and lots of other things together. I don't see it on the online menus and I can't remember what it was called. Just fantastic healthy food.And then my appetizer came out, the fatayer. It was good, rather bland. Would not order again.The baklava was good, too.So, overall, I think I'll order takeout next time although that means I can't try their other interesting cocktails. It's a nice place but the TV-sports bar decor really throws off the rest of the atmosphere, which could be quite nice otherwise.
Came in for early dinner on mother's day with the baby and husband. Everyone was so very nice, playing with the baby, and stopping by to visit him. Service was excellent. Every aspect of the restaurant seemed very clean. Food and desserts were quality. The had several desserts to choose from in the dessert case, and each one of them looked amazing. Definitely recommend this place for friendly staff, atmosphere, and great food.
Food is very nad. Especially for people who know a d love Mediterenian cousine.
