We had the fried fish with plantains as our side, and the lamb jollof rice. This food is so special! A full fish with bones that you desperately try to pick the meat off of because you can't imagine letting any of it go in the bin.. we took the head home with us. I wish we lived closer so we could regular this amazing place. The food took about 20 minutes, and all you have to do is relax. Thank you Senegal 221! P.S. ASK FOR THE PEPPER SAUCE
Love this place and the food. The people are also great.
Very, very good food. I love the chicken and brown rice. Don’t be put off by the location, this food is good!
Jimmy jim rice and fish omg so good
I bought their fufu with the soup, the soup is smell bad and yacky. I can’t even test it. I throw all the food. The soup smell like rotten meat. I never smell such kind of dirty.
I’m first generation born American, but my parents are from west Africa born and raised. Not to mention I was born and raised in New York City so I am no stranger to what good African food taste like and you can trust my opinion. They understood the assignment. I ordered “Dibi poulet” with a side of Attieké then I came home and fried my own plantain.10/10 I highly recommend this place.
The food too salty and the meat that was served wasn’t cooked correctly
I think they may have one up on Darou Salaam and Teranga. The lamb was actually tender. I appreciate that they have so many things to try on their menu so I’ll be back for more.
Best African food in Cincinnati so far.
Really good African dishes served hot here. I'm always happy with my order. The stuff are nice.Make sure you call ahead before going there for take out to avoid waiting, food is prepare freshly every day.If you are new in West African food, get the fried rice and fish called Chebou-Jen . Always a winner for me.Only thing though , not everything on the menu is available every day... not sure why that is ???
