Fast paced staff, took care of me very quickly. The BBQ is a must of you stop by. Pulled pork is outstanding! And the cornbread melts in your mouth. Highly recommend, any time I come through I will be sure to stop here for supper.

This is a great place. Great food fast!Love are brisket sandwich and took the left over barbecue sauce home with us.

I'd heard a lot about this barbecue spot on a Facebook travel group, and on a recent "best of Chillicothe" day trip we stopped for lunch. Superb! The building doesn't look like much from the street, but once inside you have an attractive outer dining room with window walls, plus a smaller interior one that's more cozy. Our server, Leslie D, must be the dean of their front of house, she was high energy and attentive and chatty but not intrusive. I settledf in to a brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries, plus a nice local Jackie O's Ricky beer which matched up ideally. My wife went for the pulled pork sandwich and corn pudding, which I sampled. Leslie's level of service was matched by the skills and taste of their pitmaster and chef. That brisket had to have spent nearly a day in that smoke to be infused with so much great flavor, I only wanted a small drizzle of their sweet sauce on it, and the bun had been grilled. Those sweet potato fries were perhaps the best I've had, the chef had the taste to treat them like sweet potatoes and serve them thoroughly seasoned with cinnamon, and served wit a marshmallow dipping sauce that certainly invoked Thanksgiving casseroles. My wife's corn pudding was tasty but more the texture of kernel corn than pudding. I've been visiting a lot of 'cue places this week. This was the best.

The smoked, blackened Salmon was out of this world, as well as the brisket. In fact, Everything served at our table was delicious. The best brisket, baked beans we've ever tasted and the cornbread was literally like cake, so good. The service was great and a fine selection of liqueurs and locally brewed beers. Passing through from NC and will definitely be sure to stop here again. Thanks for a very enjoyable experience!

This is a great place to eat if you like smoked food a hidden treasure in Chillicothe. We were going to go to another smoke house in town and decided to go here and we were pleasantly surprised both my wife and I had the smoked brisket with beans for my second side I got a side salad my wife the potato salad. Our son got the pulled pork sandwich with corn casserole. Before our meal came out we got the platter combo as an appetizer the mushrooms were awesome they are huge and stuffed. The onion rings are thick and it served with a variety of sauces. The brisket was well prepared and moist not dried out with two BBQ sauses one spicy sweet the other just sweet. The portions are great very large we had tons of food to take back with us. The staff was extremely nice and the girl we had gave us some great recommendations. My son liked the fact he was able to put the amount of sauce he wanted on his sandwich. Definitely worth a Sunday drive to go eat or a Saturday !

Fantastic dinner tonight. My husband and I both got the ribeye. The corn casserole was better than any we have ever had. Our server was phenomenal! The entire staff appeared to work like a well oiled machine. We eat at a lot of smaller, out of the way restaurants. This was one of the best we have stopped at.

I dined at this restaurant with a group of 16 people the evening of 04/30/2022. Our reservation was for 6:00 p.m. and we were seated at two tables, for eight. I arrived slightly later than the main group, right at 6:00 p.m. and it took over 15 minutes before seeing a waitress and getting served water and placing a drink order. It took a while to place our food orders and even though it was about 6:20 p.m. on a Saturday evening they were already out of the brisket. amazingly poor planning as this is supposed be a signature dish. I ordered a full rack of St. Louis style ribs expecting them to be flavorful, tender and juicy. They were not; rather they were barely warm and obviously cooked earlier in the week and zapped in a microwave before being served which inevitably toughens cooked meat. They were tough, stringy and extremely disappointing. The sides of potato salad and green beans were OK but nothing special and I had to ask for a side plate for the discarded rib bones. The barbecue sauce was served in pre-portioned containers and only one variety was offered. I suspect it was a commercial brand and had none of the hallmarks of being homemade. I would have thought that several different varieties of homemade barbecue sauce would be available in a restaurant that purports to be "a smokehouse". The service was mediocre at best; perhaps not the fault of the waitress as she was the only server assigned to the group which made ordering and receiving our entrees in a timely manner inevitably unlikely, which it was. The entrees were delivered piecemeal and there was no follow up on satisfaction with the food, except at the end of the meal when the checks were presented and the waitress asked, "what was the best bit?" I replied, "the beer" which was good. They do have a good selection of local craft beers and others. All in all, it was an overpriced and underwhelming experience and I doubt if I'll be back. A restaurant like this should make certain that their key dishes are available and schedule adequate staff to properly serve a large group. I'll definitely be working with our group for an alternative location for get togethers.

Found this gem on your site April 18th as we were traveling around Ohio. The food was great, we loved the jalapeno cole slaw along with everything else we tried. The beer list is one of the best I've seen. But the star was our waiter Aaron who is not only a great waiter but an excellent ambassador for your community giving us recommendations on local sites of interest. Thank you Aaron we're so glad we found this restaurant.

Food was wonderful as usual , had corn casserole, Reuben and Mac and cheese ! Took our twin grandsons and they had the combo brisket and chicken with Mac and cheese and hubby had smoked brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese ! ?

My husband and I had dinner tonight at your restaurant. I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and baked beans. He had the brisket & ribs with mac & cheese. We were so full we couldn’t finish our meals and had to bring part home. The food was delicious! I hadn’t been there in over a decade because I moved away for several years. But I do believe the portion sizes are bigger and the food just a good as I remembered. First visit for my husband, we’ll definitely be back! Worth the $80 meal and we brought food home. Highly recommend this locally owned gem.
