Our waiter was great and the service was quick.
Went in for a late lunch and the place only had like very few customers. So I stood there while waiting to be seated a waiter walks with a large order and says someone will be with me in a minute. I said ok, then shorty after a girl comes over to me and motion me to follow her. Reason for bad review. I was seated at a booth, and I am a chunky person. So I tried to sit there anyways. Then the girl just left. No saying I will be back, I'll get your waiter, nothing. Then a waiter at another table comes from anther table and ask if I been waited on like 5 minutes later. I got up and said no, your service socks., then walk out.
Waited 20 minutes at the door with at least 7 employees who walked by and said "we will be with you as soon as we can were short staffed" mind you the place wasn't busy and for being short staffed the employees sure did have enough time to go in and out the backdoor smoking cigaretts. We ended up walking out along with at least 10 other guests waiting behind us. All of us went next door to Bob Evans and got right in immediately sat and food hit the table within 8 mins. This isn't the first time we've had issues at this iHop, we've given them far too many chances but we won't be going back. Additionally the place is filthy dirty. Backdoor always stays open with employees going in and out smoking. They are gonna get robbed easily like this someday. Anyone could open that door at it wouldn't be a good situation.
Issues with ordering online carryout! I suggest you call the store if you are in a timecrunch or dont want to risk the chance of having cold food.One time I ordered online for carryout and selected ASAP. It gave me a pickup time like 20 minutes into the future. I got to the restaurant a little after the specified pickup time and "checked in" with the link they sent to my phone right after I submitted my order. It would seem that that was when they actually started on my order. I Ended up waiting like 20 minutes just on my food to cook. Luckily I wasnt pressed for time that day.The next time, to avoid waiting at the store like last time, I ordered "ahead" and specified the exact time that I wanted my order. Well when I arrived exactly at the said time to pick it up it was already bagged up and sitting on the counter. The food was cold and obviously had been prepared way before the pickup time i had specified.Both of these instances were at the same time of day and the store wasn't busy. Different crew each time, though.So from what I can gather, the decision on whether or not to "premake" an online order is being left to the crew that is working at the time. Given the problems that I had, maybe that policy needs revisiting.
Had a great time during this visit. We showed up close to shift change, and I'm pretty sure we made both servers day. I wish I'd of caught the girls name that was the over night girl, she wasn't our waitress but the jokes going back and forth were great!Our visit ended with crayons, printer paper and paper airplanes!
I honestly don't remember her name, but she has a baby Yoda lanyard, she's awesome! Always has been helpful and really nice. She makes it a pleasure to go. Food was great too!
Very nice experience. Breakfast was pleasant and filling. We enjoyed our waiter, Harris. He was professional with a sense of humor. Great job!
When I got to the store they couldn't find my order. After waiting for some time I showed them the confirmation email of what my order was, then they were able to find my order. After getting back to my car, I checked to see if it was all there and the order was missing pancakes. When I get home, I noticed that it was missing sausage links as well. Not a great experience!
We went to I Hop today, because there was a waiting list at a neighboring restaurant! The server took us to a booth, but I told him I preferred a table, so he cleaned one off, but not very well in my opinion!He then proceeded to take our order. My husband ordered first, he had an Omelette with a side of hashbrowns and a small cup of gravy, coffee and a soda to drink, since they were out of milk!I then placed my order for an Omelette as well, hash browns and coffee, since there was no milk! I ordered Orange Juice, and the server came back to the table, and said they were out of Orange Juice as well! I was so frustrated! Then my husband had a good view of the food coming from the kitchen and he said, our food had been up for awhile but it hadn't been brought to us, and our toast was toom temperature! Worst Breakfast experience ever! Will not go back! Paid $42.00 for a very poor breakfast and very poor service!
Just could not have been happier with our experience at the Chillicothe, Ohio IHOP. We had been driving all day and needed a late night place, open to eat. IHOP fit the bill perfectly. We were seated fast, our drink orders taken right away and the food was fast to come out to the table. For us IHOP always has been "just a place to eat." But with the exceptional service and wounderfully prepared food it was a perfect meal. We were very happy and still talk about how good it was! We are sorry so many others have rated this IHOP bad for service. We had no issues, problems or complaints.
