I say that because it is kind of spartan BUT it is huge. Nice bars, lots of TVs, outdoor seating, excellent food and service. It won’t break the bank and well worth a visit. Bear in mind it gets packed every night so go early
If I could rate this a separate post between food and hostess. First the food and service was quick and delicious. I had the walleye sticks potato wedges and she had the penne pasta with salad and a bread stick. Second, the hostess and her table management needs a lot of work. Was told 45 min wait which is expected. Multiple people were waiting like us. They offer bar side immediate seating and a shared 12 person high top which could be fine if we wanted to sit for dinner with 10 strangers. Multiple tables were open but never offered. Even a waiter ask her to sit people in his open tables and she didn't. After many people left new tables opened and people sat for dinner. Now in walks a family of four while we wait. A high top of six opens and we are next. However a waitress walks over with menus to seat the family and I think the hostess realized I was about to come unglued. So she found a small table by the bathrooms and Games for us to sit. I'm not sure if that table had been open or not so I give the hostess the benefit of doubt. We may give them another chance for dinner but not in the near future.
We went to Geez! for the first time last weekend and boyyy I wish I would have gone sooner. It was everything that we expected it to be. Vibe was energetic but not crowded. And it definitely had a cool family feel. I had the walleye tenders and crinkle fries and they were awesome. We sat at the bar and our service was great. A lot of the food is made in house and their desserts are some of the best around. Overall, I recommend Geez!
It's "Okay"! Family dinner night and decided to try a new restaurant. I was hoping for some really great food but they definitely fell short. Between the 4 of us, the only items we really enjoyed were the green beans, fried shrimp, ranch dressing and the croutons (not the salad... just the croutons!) Neither teenager was impressed with the meal and stated that it lacked seasoning and flavor. I also had the same issues with my food. The salmon, although cooked wonderfully, was very bland. Now the green beans are just delicious. I may try them out again, hopefully with a different outcome.
We called our order in for the office (4 people ordered). When we arrived to pick it up, the place was packed. Everyone was having a good time. We were helped right away and only waited a few more minutes. The food is phenomenal! This is like a neighborhood pub where everyone knows eachother. We've ordered from here multiple times since and I hope to go here for dinner as well.
decent food. got full fast. staff is friendly.
nice atmosphere; delicious food
Been a few times. What they do right - the food is consistently solid, good prices too, great atmosphere, very hometown-ish seems like most patrons knows each other and the staff, table service is usually pretty goo, decent bourbon selection as well. What could be improved - more beer options plenty of domestic lagers but only 2 IPAs (while from local breweries neither are standouts), service at the bar if you're not a regular. We have literally sat for 20 minutes dead center, and not even one bar tender acknowledged us yet both made non stop banter with the group of regulars on either side of us. Both served other patrons during this time. We left and did reach out and the owners replied/ apologized immediately. Went back last night sat at a table and had excellent service from our waiter. Fast friendly and honest - asked him about a couple things in the menu and he gave insightful answers asking with admitting he'd not yet tried one of the items I asked about. All in all a good spot, if they could ask the bartenders to not get tunnel vision, it's be great.
My co-workers and I have a great time there. Good service and great food.
Just wanted to shout out Geez Grill & Pub for an absolutely phenomenal dinner tonight! We had the best ever meatballs as an appetizer which were so good we forgot a picture! For dinner I have the Philly dip with added banana peppers and omg!! My husband had the Italian dip and it was fully loaded with meat and he added cheese! The best stewed tomatoes I’ve ever had, may even too pine clubs for me ? Our food was piping hot and came out in less than 20 minutes from our order and they had a packed house!!! Great job Geez! ??????
