We love desert inn. Party of 8 ordered: Grilled chicken kabobs, filet kabob, two filets, scrod, lamb, all fabulous. Very happy customers. The family style with the platter is just soooo good. Best Grecian salad, rice pilaf and more. This is a must stop and locals favorite.
Had reservations for noon on Easter Sunday. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere was great. Restaurant was clean. Staff was on point. Food was super yummy. Only negative is that the food wasn't very hot but our strip steaks were done to a perfect medium rare. Sat next to an amazing family that shared their dessert with us. Made for a great 60th birthday also.
We did not enjoy the food, it was all very dry and it all tasted bland, crunchy and old fashioned somehow. It also didn't seem very fresh. It's all family style dining but you don't get to choose what's all on your platter under what you order. I'm fact, the menu doesn't even explain it at all, so we ended up with a lot of food we don't eat. The whole place just gave the feeling that everything there needs a serious upgrade and overhaul. There are plenty of better Mediterranean restaurants in Canton. Skip this one.
Desert Inn is outstanding. Been here 3 times and got filet every time. Delicious and cooked perfectly every time. The family style green salad is awesome and so are all the other goodies that come with it. Every time I’ve been here we’ve had a large party and the servers always take it in stride and do a great job. And the last time I went was a Friday night, so I got to see the belly dancer for the first time! She was terrific as well. Can’t wait to go back to this place
The food was good, but the service was terrible. I realize that we did not have a reservation, but it took 15 minutes after we were seated to get menus, another 10 minutes before our drink orders were taken, another ten minutes before they arrived and had out meal orders taken, then it took another 25-30 minutes before our food arrived, in the meantime we had to flag down another server to refill our drinks.By the end of the meal, it did improve, but we were there 90 minutes and waited for service for the majority of the time there. There were only 2 of us. We live around the corner and could have been frequent patrons, but not with this service.
Never going back. Wish I had read the reviews. But being a Canton staple I expected more. Our waitress didn't let us know the specials but informed the tables around us.My girlfriend ordered her steak medium well and came out rare she sent it back and and came back the same. As the night went on our waitress ignored us more and more. Instead of waiting on us she waited on two other tables cleaned the bar and served people at the bar. My girlfriend went outside to wait and I was able to go to the restroom. And still waited. Horrible.
Delicious ? food I would recommend to anyone nice classy environment and the bartender Angus is awesome mixes sum of the best drink I've 3ver had.
Very good experience. Joe was an excellent server, there was a good crowd and overall service was excellent. Lamb kabob and steak were cooked very well. The beef kabob was overcooked a little. Enjoyed the atmosphere. We had a better experience the prior visit here.
Love this Canton staple. Wonderful meal each visit! A nice change from most of the boring food around these parts.
Have been going here for years & have never been disappointed. Best Lebanese food in town, besides my own.
