Dinner with a friend. They had cod dinner, sweet potato fries, brown rice. Cod was very tasty. Rice very good. Fries were mushy.I had bone-in pork chops. Very good. Baked potato was good but small. Dinner salad was good, fresh. Also had fried zucchini strips. Were very good.Service provided by Lauryn. Very attentive, great service. Restaurant was clean. Other tables were cleared quickly and cleaned well.

This is the first time that either of us has been to this newer location and it did not disappoint us in the least. The food was amazing and the service could not have been better. I had the baked scrod in lemon-butter sauce with two choices of sides and my friend had the barbecue ribs that just fell off the bones, also, with two sides. All at a special piece. I look forward to returning soon. We were told that the weekend menu, that includes Friday, differs from the weekly menu. So, make note of that also. Maybe check online ahead of time.? Enjoy!

Update: First time for us in the new location. The place was still just as packed as the old place, but it doesn't have that same atmosphere. The food was good though and the prices were fair. The drinks were VERY strong.Original review: 3 yrs ago (5 stars)A bit pricy and upscale but the food is very very good and the bartender makes fabulous drinks youve had other places taste like child's play.

good food not as big a menu as the previous location but good enough for us...got fried green tomatoes...cajun pork rinds....my son got boneless wings and chips...mom got fish dinner with fries and salad...I hot the bourbon burger and homefries ...2 pops $65

really good food, friendly service

We visited your new place this past Monday. The food was good but our service wasn’t that great. Our waitress didn’t know the menu to well and said she worked their for 5 years. We never were asked how our food tasted and had to ask for refills. Waited a long time for our check and boxes.

Same great food. Definitely not what you would expect in ambiance. I’m not sure that I’ll go back because the noise level is just way too high to enjoy your meal. The new location is only one room and has no sound dampening at all. Way too loud to have a normal conversation. Even the waitress said that she feels like she is yelling all the time. Also, plan on waiting for a table. The new location has less seating from what I could tell.If the owner reads this, he should add acoustic treatments to the space to help lower the noise level.

We sat at the bar when we arrived as it was a 70 minute wait. The bartender was very attentive ( and he was super busy) and the drinks were great. Lots of choices! We were a table of 4 . I ordered the shrimp and crab salad. Would never order again. It was a huge pile of lettuce, a boiled egg, wiggly baby shrimp ,some crab and a sprinkling of cheese. It should be taken off the menu. My husband had the stuffed peppers and home fries and enjoyed both. The couple with us had the french dip and fresh fries and she had a burger. The fries did not disappoint and he felt the sandwich was tasty but the smallest french dip sandwich he had ever had at a restaurant. Burger was very good. I'll be back but I will definitely not order the shrimp salad.

Having heard great things, we ventured out and pulled their address off Google. Unfortunately when they opened at their new location 5 miles away someone forgot to tell Google. The new restaurant was sharply decorated with brown brick accents and oak trim. The place was packed on Saturday night at 820 and the kitchen closed at 900. We scored a table quickly and ordered. Nice house salads arrived in 4 minutes but it was 22 minutes for the food. I got the chicken Dijon with fries and was really disappointed. My chicken was just over lukewarm and the fries were house cut but rubbery. I heard our waitress milling around during the visit and someone else brought our meals to the table. I’m certain my plate sat under a lamp 10 minutes too long. The wife got ribs that were obviously warmer than my food, fall off the bone but sauces with Open Pit. I would have really enjoyed my dinner if it was served timely. Other food looked really enticing but the distance and quality of service might keep me away.

Been going to John's bar for decades. The new location is really big and decorated nicely. Food is still amazing and service is wonderful. So ecstatic to not have to go to garbage Canton city to eat their food ??
