I haven’t tried many of their nuts, but their chocolates are superior to most “national” brands. I especially love their French mints. Soooo yummy!!!
Everybody needs to visit Heggy's! Coney and fries with butter...and ice cream for dessert!...does not get much better than that! On the way out pick up some candy and fresh roasted nuts! The BEST!
Nice atmosphere, good service, excellent burger and fries. Prices very reasonable. Topped the visit off with some Peanut Clusters!!!! Um, Um, Good!!!!!
I have never found chocolates that I like better including the big name brands. Best ice cream. The butter pecan will take your breath away. The nuts are always fresh and perfect. They will ship anywhere for you including gift packaging. Easy to use website. Vintage "soda shop" on site.
Absolutely amazing!!!! The fries were so yummy and the coney worth every bite! And then the ice cream was just wonderful. They put their specialty nuts which made it a salty sweet. Definitely recommend this place as a must see, must visit!
Old fashioned deep fried nuts of all kinds. Hand made chocolates in milk or dark. And a lunch counter with milkshake and ice cream sundaes. It's been the same for over 70 years. Because I'm 66. We go there every time we are back in Ohio. It's a good memory of my childhood
We’ve been wanting to stop here forever and finally made a point just to try it out, plus I wanted to get some nuts to send to my father. Food was great, came out very hot and all the staff was very friendly and helpful! We’ll definitely be back!!
From young to Old we all love us some Heggy’s! So affordable too! Super polite staff! Clean Establishment! Delicious food! And the candy……yum!!!!! My only complaint is they don’t seem to hand out the stamp cards anymore which makes me sad.
We got the three things Heggy's is known for...buttered fries (fries with two pads of butter on top), steakburgers and banana splits. Firstly, the fries. They are unsalted, so if you want salt you'll need to add your own. The butter was just okay for me. I wanted to try it, but it isn't necessarily something I'd repeat. Although maybe at home with homemade steak fries... The steakburgers were good, but not a fan of the mayo and relish. It was way too sweet. If you are wanting to give it a try, maybe request it on the side. The banana split was huge and amazing. It isn't really the traditional toppings on an order of a banana split. But yummy.
I come for steak burger special on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Been coming here for quarter of century. Always good food and service. My wife gets coney and my kids and I get steak burgers. Kids love shakes and my wife and get diet cherry cokes with one squirt of flavoring. We also get chili a lot. It is not spicy at all. If your a spicy chili person, know this has no heat. Some people who work here have changed over the years but the food is consistent. It’s weird but try the butter on the fries.
