Had a very filling lunch at Grumpy's in Bowling Green, Ohio. Jocelyn, our server was efficient and friendly. The food portions are large. I ordered an Original Garbage Salad and my spouse had a Reuben. My salad was a tasty blend of greens and veggies. The dressing was a home-made one that coated the greens instead of dripping off and gathering at the bottom of the bowl. After I ate my fill, my spouse had some of my salad and I took the rest home and we had two side salads at dinner. I had half of the Reuben and it was perfectly grilled, so that the cheese melted into the sauerkraut and meat, yummy. Lastly, I ordered a cup of tea. It was served with the tea bag on the side, so that I could steep it to meet my preferences. The mug was very large - I estimate was 10-12 ounces!While there is a municipal parking lot behind the restaurant, you enter from the front. I appreciated that the entrance was a modest ramp directly from the street to the inside, so that someone pushing a stroller or using a walker had no stairs to navigate. Also, the family restroom was spotless and large. If using a wheelchair, you could easily close the door and transfer to the commode in privacy. I look forward to a return visit.
We came in for lunch at noon. There were two other tables done eating. The place was pretty quiet. We waited 40 mins before I finally asked about our order. A group of 3 men came in 20 mins or so after us and were already eating when I went up to ask about our order. We were told other orders were “ahead of us.” We had one sandwich and one salad. No one even came back to ask to refill our drinks. Awful service. Asked for the food to go. I wish we would have just left.
I love to support local, but this place was overpriced and not worth it. Don't think I'll be going back.

My boyfriend found Grumpy's while researching places to eat near the turnpike while we were traveling to a wedding in the Dover area. All of our food was amazing! we can't wait to go back. We had the mini garbage salad, chicken sandwich with macaroni salad, friend bologna sandwich with potato salad.
Sadly the garbage salad is not the same. It’s a bag of lettuce with tons of cheese on top that now cost $16.
