I have a love/hate relationship with the Cafe. My family loves to go there when I'm in town but everyone is in agreement the kitchen and the service is terribly inconsistent. This last visit they upped their prices by 15% and lowered their portion sizes by 25%. The food was OK, the service was OK, and we left hungry. It was disappointing. I know they are hurting with the current inflation but I hope they can get back to quality service with reasonable portions.
Lots of people love this place. Not sure why. I never order pasta out, but people said it was good, so I gave it a chance. Not good. I don't think I will go back. If you love grandma's sauce or make sauce at home, don't go here, or maybe order the chicken, or something. It's Amazing what people think is good. Italian people, you know what I'm talking about.
The receptionist was VERY rude (She later apologized for being so rude, maybe she washaving a terrible day?). I had a disabled person with me who needed to be seated. Instead, (we were there first), she took 2 phone calls, inquired about a visitor who walked in behind us and then, talked to a person leaving, about a future engagement and left us standing, waiting, the whole entire time..... Even when I informed her (after waiting patiently) that the person with the cane, needed to be seated. When we finally sat down, the coffee that we were served was cold. The waitress said that she just brewed it. (Clearly she did not or it would have been hot). She made a new pot and the coffee was hot and very good. The calamari was pretty good. The salad had a few brown pieces in it, but, the dressing was good. The chicken parmesan sandwich bun was almost burnt, but, the sauce had a good taste. The Italian dinner (sausage, manicotti, eggplant, etc.) was a good dinner. The prices are high for mediocre food. The room was very dark (which is crazy that we could even see brown lettuce pieces in our salads!) Our waitress made up for the rude behavior that we encountered when entering. Needless to say, we will not be back! Very disappointing.
I ordered an over priced steak salad and was given 5 tiny little pieces of steak. When I say tiny, I mean they were not even full strips of steak. They were more like cubes. I will never order from here again.
Very disappointed in hostess. My husband and I decided to go to Caffe Capri and bring an our out-of-town guest. We were greeted by server who let us know that "she will be with you in a moment "As hostess approached her station, we let her know there were three of us and asked for a table. She responded" I don't have a table" and she walked away! We waited for a moment thinking she was looking for options, she did not return. No one else approached us or said anything. We could see open tables. We left.I was very disappointed in hostess as she appeared to care less about us. She was not welcoming, she had no expression, she walked away!Will not return
The entrees and the service were top-notch! The owner visits the tables to make sure everything's okay a nice touch.
My family and I ate here last night, Friday. It looked great and we thought we would give it a try. We walked in and gave the gentleman our name, he said it would take ten minutes I said okay. Another group walked in, he told them the same thing, but then they got seated before us. Then we got seated later, our waitress was no where to be found, but we waited twenty minutes to get drinks, our bread took another fifteen minutes. My daughter was with us who was five, got handed a child’s menu, had to order an adult pizza for a five year old because they don’t do kids pizzas anymore, wouldn’t honor the price. She can’t eat that whole pizza. Our waitress kept disappearing, the bus boy who was awesome kept refilling our drinks, he did ten times better then her. She was more occupied with the table of six beside us. I was not impressed at all, and all this for seventy five dollars, not worth it at all. Wish I could get refunded for this.
We have eaten here many times over the last 5 years and the food is always excellent as well as the service. Highly recommend!
We had a baby shower today and it was wonderful!The food and service were the best and we couldn't have asked for a better event. Everyone enjoyed themselves so much no one wanted to leave. Great place for a special event and would highly recommend!
Always a class act. Personal greetings from the owner and outstanding service from his team of server's. The restaurant business is truly challenging during today's staffing challenges. Cafe Capri still shines while exceeding my expectations. Definitely a five stare dining experience.Thank You
