The Sub House is definitely passing along inflation to customers. I mean, $3.79 for a side (house chips) and the sauces are $1 on top of that. That is a bit steep. The craft beer selection is poor: only 4 on the menu and one was out. The music is terrible, just turn it off. I remember when this place was really good but now, not so much. Military discount is ONLY for those in uniform? A 25-year Air Force veteran and retiree and no discount? They have a sign that says they support the military, but screw the veterans and retirees. Just WOW! Probably avoid this place for the foreseeable future.
Don't waste your time or money!! When we went in there was only 1 table (who already had their food) and a few people at the bar. It took 38 minutes to get 2 subs!! Then to top it off the bread was cold (even after being toasted) and the turkey sub had zero flavor. It took our server/bartender about 35 minutes to realize we didnt have our to-go order yet. Multiple staff were standing around chatting. She apologized and said our ticket had fallen. I understand mistakes happen, and dont mind people having fun at work, but customers and their orders should be a priority! I have personally worked at restaurants for years and when accidents like this happen you offer something or at least partially reimburse a percentage of the cost. This was my first and last time trying this place!! Better training and customer service is needed if you ever want to improve!
They will put "The Works" on your sub, which includes a pickle relish. SO glad I asked about it. It's HOT SPICY! I had them leave it off, but forgot for my husband's sub. Took it home to him and had to remove it. No one warned me it would be hot (spicy). The subs aren't bad, they're just not what they use to be. I was disappointed for the money I spent.
Locally owned business. One of my favorite sub places for many years. They have a number of locations. They recently changed their menu a little. Now a sandwich comes with double the meat - which is how I usually order mine - but you can still get a "lighter" option (regular/normal amount of meat) so read the menu or ask your server. I get mine with "the works" which includes a really tasty pepper relish. Yummy! They also have a rewards card available. Please support locally owned businesses like this one! Highly recommended!
Great menu... sandwiches and pizza always delicious. Always good service!
This used to be one of our favorite places. The food quality has gone down hill. Not sure if it's from lack of help or what. It just isn't what it used to be in that aspect. Service is always good.
Only liked coming for the deep fried pickle spears. The new beer battered slices suck. They weren’t crispy, still doughy, and just tasted like oil. The old ones were so much better. Probably won’t be back.
Service is spotty. Food is good. Don't get your hopes up for seafood.
Ordered food same as always young man read it back as we ordered it no pizza sauce. Well 2 of the 3 sub had mass amounts of pizza sauce and all food was cold. Both mangers I spoke to was rude and 110% needs fired. Then I had the owner call me from Florida to fix the issue. That his 2 mangers dropped the ball on. I will not go back and would strongly recommend only going to brown street location.
Sandwich was a mess when we received it, meat tastes fake not like real steak like it used to when I would get their sandwich off of Colonel Glenn when i was first living in Beavercreek. Not impressed!
