This place actually has Chicago deep dish pizza like the ones you get in Chicago, our server "Jay" was on his game, he kept checking to make sure a food was right and our drinks were filled, excellent food, service, and atmosphere for Family Dining. If you haven't tried it, take my word you will want to. And be sure you ask for Jay.
I had been really looking forward to visiting this place but when I did all I got was disappointment. I went at around 5 on a weekday to find it with literally no one inside which I thought was odd until I ordered and figured out why. I ordered the combo appetizer which consisted of 4 cheese trinagles, a small strip if cheese bread and 4 small nuggets for the crazy price of $16. I had also ordered a 2 topping thin crust pizza which I believe was around $26 and a couple draft beers. Everything on the combo tasted like like it had freezer burn. The bread was alright but did not compensate for the other two items in the combo plate and dirty beer glasses. The pizza was overcooked on the edges and undercooked in the center. The crust was insanely bland as there were no seasoning whatsoever which was one of the biggest disappointments as that is what I was looking forward to the most. At least I can say I finally tried it, was not impressed and will not be back.
This was my first time having Giordano's outside of Chicago and it was perfect! Betty was attentive and provided excellent service. Definitely will make the trip from Southern Ohio again to this location!
Very disappointed in the service and the quality of the food. Waited over an hour for our pizza (was told it would only take 30 minutes) and our appetizer never came out. I alerted the server and she didn't offer to bring it out she just offered to remove it from the bill. I told her we still wanted the appetizer. It came out fairly quick but it was burnt and did not taste good. It was the cheesy garlic bread. Horrible after taste. Quality of the thin crust pizza was horrible. Cheese and toppings just slid off the pizza it was so greasy. Waited longer than necessary for refills on soda. Ordered 2 sides of ranch to come with the pizza but didn't get them , had to ask a 2nd time for the ranch. The ranch also did not taste good. Had to ask for napkins. Server did not once ask how everything was and did not check on us. Overall bad experience. Another couple left because they waited so long and no one took their drink order or greeted them after seated. Another group sitting near us had to ask for napkins after their food came. Not worth the price at all. Was too embarrassed to ask for a manager as I'm not the confrontational type.
Damion was fantastic. Never let our glasses run dry and was very attentive to our needs/wants. We will come back. The food was absolutely delicious!!Great service!!
Our server Damion made sure we had an amazing dining experience! He was very polite and friendly and took care of my father and I and even engaged in conversation with us. Of course the food was absolutely spectacular, you can tell it’s carefully prepared and the recipe has been perfected. 5 stars isn’t even enough to give to this restaurant and to Damion!! We will definitely be back and will be telling others about our wonderful experience!!
Deep dish pizza
Can't go wrong with Giordano's. We love the deep dish. We normally get carryout, but dined in for the first time the other day. They have great, $10 lunch specials where you can pick a lunch-size entree and a side. Also if you are ever dining in with a large group and want deep dish pizza, you can call in and place your order ahead of time so your party doesn't have to wait the entire 45minutes for your pizza to cool.Otherwise, if you're doing carryout -we love the $30 meal deal. Includes a medium pizza, salad, and 4 chocolate chip cookies (feeds 4).
Went in after kids wrestling event. We were seated immediately and got our deep dish pizza in 45 minutes. 3 adults shared a medium salad while waiting for our pizza. Our server was wonderful. He had refills on table before we had to ask. He took care of every request and was super friendly.
Chicago pizza is very deep dish and cheesy. Not diet friendly. Also offers thin crust. Excellent appetizers which is important because a Chicago pizza takes 45 minutes to prepare. The ambience is good; plenty of TVs for watching sports. Service was a little inattentive but not unforgivably so.
