Basil’s has great food. This is the second time we have been to this location and not ordered anything. This time was a miscommunication about Taco Tuesday. We came at lunch time and the special starts at 4 PM. Too late for us. We left. It seems that a change in policy about Taco Tuesday would be good for business. We were the ONLY patrons at this location and then we left without ordering.
Went on a Saturday night, no wait. Should have avoided. Ordered the buffalo chicken pizza. Absolutely horrible. The idea is correct and sounds great on the menu, but the execution was WAY off. Pizza came out warm on the outside and cold on the inside. Bitter blue cheese used, not the milder gorgonzola cheese as described on the menu. Manager insisted that the 2 cheese are EXACTLY the same and even argued with me about it. This place is a joke, many other options around that area to choose from. Maybe the other locations are better? Better management? Not sure, won't find out.
The food was good, the service was excellent. Unfortunately, the music was so loud I couldn't hear the conversation at the table and developed an awful headache. Please consider turning down the music.
The Soup ans Scoop was amazing. Perfectly prepared tomato basil soup match with a healthy portion of chicken ? salad with pita chips. The price was very affordable and the service was great. I strongly recommend the Salmon too seeing it was grilled and seasoned to perfection. We will definitely be back very soon.
The food and our server were outstanding! All of the staff was outstanding, actually. Had dinner and drinks with a colleague from out of town. We lost track of time and didn't realize they were closing for the evening. Everyone was very gracious and let us finish our drinks and conversation while closing up. They never disappoint
We ate outside in the igloos Food and the service was great I only wish you had 2 heaters inside instead of one in each igloo
Let's start with prices. They are up there, but it's not going to kill your wallet for two. I have never seen a restaurant do deviled eggs before so I was curious. I'll tell you right now to just make them at home, they tasted alright but had an overwhelming hit of greens. I ordered the Taco Trio and went with the teriyaki beef, chicken, and the Cajun shrimp. The shrimp was not great. In Ohio you don't get the best seafood but when you do you know it's real. Rubbery with spices thrown on and a hint of that burnt taste with the store bought brands. The chicken was not too bad but the beef was the best. The rice and flavoring was perfect! 3 out of 5 for trying new places.
A nice restaurant with a good selection of choices available on the menu. The food was good and the mixed drinks were great. The service was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean but a little noisy.
New to the area. An also out of town friends told me to try the salmon salad. On the way home I figured would be the best time to order. Ordered my virtues, it was ready when I arrived. Went home, got situated and commenced to crushing the salad. Flavorful....just damn delicious. There are other items on the menu I will eventually try. A superb quality meal.
Mediocre. I’d probably be back if it were not for all the other options nearby.
