Saturday morning and couldn’t be better. Very welcoming place with nice people. Good food as well. It is on a busy street so parking could be tricky some times. Most of young crowd as campus nearby but also people who come there from years as well. The mac & cheese nuggets was a good one. Also there mint milkshake, and butter finger milkshake was awesome. The black bean burger was so fresh and good.
We stayed in Athens for a few days and before our trip, I had searched for some breakfast places for our stay there.We had our first breakfast here - and since everything was perfect, we returned here for every other breakfast during our stay.The staff is just awesome, they really make you feel at home and create a lovely atmosphere in the diner. The food was also very good and also more than reasonably priced. We spend $25-30 per day (for a breakfast + coffee + juice for two, incl. taxes and tips). Can highly recommend and I would love to have such a place nearby!!!

The burgers, breakfasts and sandwiches are very good. The portions are quite big. Good place to dine with friends :)
Very friendly and attentive staff (although there was only one other patron at the time). I only ordered a sandwich and fries, but they were both tasty. The sandwich was huge and it came with a whole basket of fries. I would go back. I'd like to try the breakfast foods for which they're known for.
The food was good and the staff was so sweet. It was taking a little while for our food and our waitress didn't make us pay. Now that's servis. Even though we never complained or even said anything about how long it was taking cause it was lunch and they was very busy and our waitress came and apologized we told her we understood no problem and she came back with our food and told us to enjoy our food and lunch was on the house. So if your ever in Athens and get hungry make sure to check this place out. I promise you won't be disappointed.
Delicious food and great service!! Looking for a great BLT with sourdough bread, definitely try this place!! No bells and whistles for the atmosphere but they're definitely putting money and time into the food that they serve! Delicious!!! Will definitely go again, when in Athens!!!
Breakfast anytime and done well. The Garbage Omelette is flavorful. The staff is attentive. Check their hours if you’re planning to go late.
I absolutely love Union Street Diner! The food is AMAZING! This may be because my mom owned it for for so so many years before deciding to sale. It was a big part of my life from childhood into adulthood. I loved waiting tables! I miss being able to eat whatever I wanted for free & I most definitely miss all my regular customers!
I was looking for a old-fashioned roast beef and mash potatoes and the diner was a great pick. The waitress was very friendly. The food was done within a very timely manner and it was delicious ??
