Had a great family dinner. Great Happy Hour offerings! The menu has something for everyone. The wait staff were very attentive.
DONT EAT HERE!!Horrible service, horrible staff. Ate there for the first time tonight, no intentions of returning. Arrived at 7:50pm, and they gave us a list of everything they didn’t have and took forever to wait on us and bring our food. Then several were drinking tea and they dumped the tea before we were through. They wanted us to leave. POOR SERVICE, POORLY MANAGED, POOR STAFF. AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!
We have eaten at Shade in Athens Ohio since it opened and have always been happening with the service and food. Today however was a different story. Service was OK but the food was awe full. Chicken salad was dry and could hardly eat it. The other meal was a Ruben and that was aweful as well. I am not a complainer in a restaurant but this was bad. What is going on there?
The food is so good here but the service sucks! It took forever to get out food and some people that arrived after us got it first! The waiter didn’t even apologize!

The food was fantastic! The wings are on par if not better than Roosters. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be adding this to my list of places to eat out!
Ate here on a Saturday night. Good burger and sandwich selection, plus appetizers and pizza. Server very friendly. Some nice raft brews on tap. Prices very reasonable: less than $10 for a very good Reuben and fries.
Non-chain eatery and pub close to my hotel. In town on business. Kendra, my server, was super friendly and welcoming. Made me feel at home. Had the cheesey pig (Mac / Cheese / Pulled Pork) and a half buffalo chicken salad as an opener. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. Downed it all. No left overs. Again, thanks for being so friendly!
The restaurant took 45 minutes to do a simple take away order. The French onion soup portion is about ¼ or a cup and they gave us no utensils. Highly disappointed
It would be awesome for the operating hours to include when the kitchen closes. While the bar may stay open until 11, me and a group of friends came in to eat and were unaware. Very disappointing.
