Ok let me just say they are top notch. From the food, the ambiance and the service. I lost my motorcycle key on the hottest day of the year. They looked all over even in the trash for us. Gave us free waters and a place to sit as we called locksmiths. Words can’t express how kind you were in a time we needed it. Thank you.

Service was so nice, food was fast and delicious. We stopped in for a late lunch and enjoyed a dog each and some slaw on the patio. Really fun menu, and you can sub any dog for a vegetarian option which is great for those who are looking for that!Really liked that there was an outdoor dining option!

Stopped after a high school tournament game for some take out. This place is reasonably priced and offers mostly a variety of hot dogs and brats. There a few other things as well especially fries and spaghetti. Ordered a couple of Dixie hot dogs ($4.75) which have O'Bettys own chili sauce, mustard, onions, and cheddar cheese. The first thing you notice when you bite into this dog is the snap of biting into it. It makes a sound when you bite into it. The hot dog is cooked well and the dog itself is very good. In my opinion the O'Bettys chili sauce is very similar to skyline chili. It has the nutmeg flavor and I believe the consistency is similar as well. Personally I'm not a big fan of skyline chili although I will have the occasional chili cheese dog or two. What stood out more was the mustard, some pretty powerful stuff. Maybe there was just too much mustard on my sandwich as it stood out more than it should have. The brat was sliced in half and cooked in a grill but the flavor was not really that good. My son who was with me and loves brats thought the same thing. I have had similar tasting brats at high school football games and have always been disappointed when that happens. We ended up getting the Bettie ($5) which also had the chili sauce. Anyway if you enjoy skyline you would enjoy the chill sauce here and this the Dixie. If not then you would be better off choosing something without the sauce. Again, the hot dog is high quality and very good on its own. Would I go again? Yes. How far would I travel to go there? 15 minutes.

Where's all the chili????I’ve lived in Athens my whole life and have been going here for at least a decade. Tonight was my worst experience and the worker’s are to blame.I ordered a large chili cheese fry and barely got any toppings at all. I’ve noticed the last few times I’ve gone here when the couple of women employees are there they barely give any toppings compared to past employees. You can see in my pictures what it looks like in the basket they give you, then when I moved it on to a plate at home, and finally how many fries I have left that have 0 toppings. Seriously, I have half the fries left still and no toppings at all to eat them with. If I wanted plain fries I would have ordered them instead of a chili cheese fry. Wasted money for sure. Also, they used to ask if you’d like a bag when ordering but they don’t do that anymore and if I ask for a bag when they tell me my food is ready, the girl who gives me my food passive aggressively says “Yeah, but remember to ask for one when you order next time”. What makes a difference when I ask for the bag? Any other place would ask me if I wanted a bag, I wouldn’t have to be the one to ask for it, especially when you can’t even eat inside at night. You know not everyone that eats your food is a student who is going to eat and walk right?Currently there is only one employee that makes the food as it always has been and it is a male around 30-40 years old would be my guess (not sure of his name or actual age though) and he is awesome, customer service and how he makes the food, so keep him around. This experience was terrible though, do better.

I don't get to go often but I've loved everything I've tried. It's what a dog should be in my opinion: loaded up and unapologetic about the amount of mess + flavor your get on each one. And the fries, a dog's only true companion, are bangin. ?

Such a cool little restaurant. If I could give this place a six star rating I would. All of the food is reasonably priced and good. They have a bunch of hot dogs and other sausage meats with cool unique topping all named after famous female movie stars. The people behind the counter were really friendly and even though the dining room is a little small it has a cool atmosphere. Lots of little antique hotdog related items. Such a great spot. Was super happy with our stop here, will definitely come back.

YUM YUM YUM. Exactly how I remember it from 2014 when I went to school there. Absolutely the best hot dogs around. The temptest is my favorite. Missing it already!

Whoa, O'Betty's (Bam-ba-lam)!!! This place knows how to do it. Killer dogs and sides! Their Featured Stars are outrageous. The Sophie is perfection. It is walk up window so get your phone out and put your order in ahead of time.

Best hot dogs in town, but the set up they've had for picking up orders is pretty awkward. If you've already ordered, you just stand under the window, but it's so high no one can see you unless you're jumping up and down waiving your hand. I wish there were a buzzer or something to let them know that someone who has already paid for their order is there to just pick it up.
