They have an excellent business, providing excellent traditional American eats. The staff is very inclusive, yet uneducated and ill mannered. Outwardly at times mocking, making fun of co-worker with developmental challenges. On more than one occasion my family and I have witnessed. The dogs are not mid grade, gritty and yellowed/green often waterlogged. Prices have gone up, food quality and staff have decreased. Not so cheap, not so clean inside and not the best influence of proper public engagement of the disabled as they are made fun behind their backs...while delivering food to your table.

This was truly sad that such a long line was followed by some of the worst food I have ever had. The hot dog looked like it was the cheapest cut meat with high amounts of fat deposits while the chili was definitely out of a can, and none of the good stuff either.I am in desperate search for a good place to eat and have yet to find them! Give them to me, Athens! Stop hiding them!

I realize the specialty is hot dogs, but I did not try one and can only review what I tried. I got a large double cheeseburger combo with cajun fries and a 32oz hot fudge and peanut butter malt. It ran almost $12 for that combo. The malt I created was tasty. All of the flavors came through. The fries were not that good. "Cajun" fries are frozen fries with some kind of batter, similar to Rally's fries but not as flavorful. The burger was terrible. They were frozen patties with bad texture and hard pieces of gristle. Very low quality. Steak n' Shake is far better and cheaper. Steak 'n Shake uses fresh beef that is much better. I hate to say it, but it beats the local establishment by a mile and is also cheaper. They should not be charging that much for those awful patties.

We used to love Larry's and eat there a lot but since Larry sold it the menu has changed a lot which we are fine with and enjoy the chili but the recipes for the existing food has changed and we are not a fan. The service has also slowed to a crawl and it takes forever to get the simplest thing. We have been going there for almost 20 years and have never seen the parking lot 9 cars deep for people waiting for their food. People we talk to feel the same way. We truly wish it would go back to the way it used to be..

Really great dogs. Love the slaw dog with everything. Very affordable

Love this place! Classic hot dogs, fried sides, and ice cream. The price is right and the food is delicious. This place never disappoints! Cajun fries are awesome and they may have the best corn dog I've ever had.

Absolutely the Best hotdog you will ever be lucky enough to eat.You must get the sauce on the dog's to truly appreciate why this shop has been opened and thriving for over 40 years!

I really wish I could give more stars. But honestly. Melanie. The cashier. Britney. Crew leader? Was the reason they received three stars. Instead of two. They really went above and beyond. Two try and help me with what I did order. Melanie Brittany and the others. All had told me. They were known for there footlong sauce. Which I asked for a hot dog with sauce instead. As you can see by the pictures. As well as a single cheeseburger there Fry's and chicken strips. With a chocolate milkshake. Where to begin? Unless you are looking for it. Especially for me while it was raining. Can't hardly see the place. Oh yes! If you look right at it. They do have small neon signs in the windows and such. But Nothing grabs your attention. As I made my way inside. The place appeared to be clean and neat. Very well-lit. Melanie. Asked what I would like. As soon as I told her. I have never been in before. She really focused on trying to help me. As did Brittany. And the crew. LOL! They. Truly! Was the best part of this experience. For that alone. I will probably go back again someday. But with that being said. The food was mediocre at best. My chocolate shake was so thick I could not get it through the straw. As you can see from the pictures. The sandwich. Was a mess. And Tiny. The fries were cold. The chicken tenders were cold. I asked for a sample of all their sauces. For the chicken. Nothing was above ordinary. Except! The gravy. As seen in the picture. Was really good and would have been better. If it was hot. Talkin with some other patrons. They explained to me that they eat at Larry's Dawg House. About once a week. And the fish sandwich is what they really like. Wish I would have chosen the fish. With some work. They truly could have something special. God bless you all. And Merry Christmas!

I absolutely love this restaurant every time I travel to Athens which is home for me I absolutely must go to Larry’s Dawg House while I’m there it is the best!

Good fried/greasy food place. Prices are okay, food and ice cream products are good. Drive thru is ill designed for amount of traffic it gets. Always has a friendly atmosphere.
